“HIATUS IS OVER”

It has been a year since my last entry and these are the reasons why:

1. I don’t know where to go with my content. I like new writers out there sometimes one might get inconsistent or bored on going with new things, truthfully I rarely right reviews unless the books is really good or really bad.

2. I need more coverage. I have been on specific genre for the last couple of years and I think that it’s too little to make off, so i decided to go to different genres to widen my horizon on the literary works.

3. I need encouragement. Last year was not my best year and my life had more downs than ups and a lot of things did change way too fast, so I really had no time  to do this. (But I’ll try to recover now >.<)

TAKE “NOTE”:

1. I will update multiple reviews a day to make up for a year of absence.

2. I will have a schedule on when to release this reviews (hopely it’s regular)

3. COMMENT/WRITE BOOKS & AUTHORS YOU WANT ME TO REVIEW (Defending on the book/s or author’s books, the time might be different. one book review would take me at least two days to finish and will be posted at my next scheduled post, unless it is a documentary or historical, which would take more time than reviewing 1 or two books.)

Title: Tea of Summer. Author: Si Zhi. Date published:2015. Date translated: October 2016-August 2017. Genre: Drama, Romance, School-life. Number of Chapters: 54

Hi  guys!! I know that this one is quite random but I had just finished reading a web novel;WN (it was quite short) and that I thought that it would be nice if I could share this one with you.

Review:

Now for the review, this Chinese novel is a short but has heart warming story, in short it was a cute story, which for I was all saying “Aww...that’s so sweet!!!” throughout the entire time I was reading this. The characters were very normal (from the standard of web novels), were the female lead was kinda cute ,a little bit naive and slow but that was compensated by the male lead was cool, straight forward and easy on the eyes (well according to how I visualize him anyway: as in its a character that you can’t really help but love). The plot was not like a western story which applies layers and layers of plot and is thick with information. This WN was rather one layer and straight to the point, and more romance-cantered.

Note:If you’ve seen my intro blog the other day you would have seen that I also do reviews of light and web novels, this novels are very different from books that are regularly circulated in the market (either as an ebook, paperback or hardcover). Most web novels/light novels are publicized online and are often written with or without monetary charge. This novels varied from different languages usually it came from Asian countries such as China, Korea or Japan. His novels are then translated from their original language to English in order to provide for a larger variety of readers throughout the world.

P.S. I  am using hero/heroine for western characters and male and female lead for eastern characters, please don’t be confused.

Title: Angel’s Blood. Author: Nalini Singh. Date Published: March 2009. Setting: New York. Genre: Paranormal Romance, Angels, Vampires, Urban Fantasy, Adult.

Review:

This book is one of the best books I have ever read having a rating of 4.5 stars among the other books I’ve read within the paranormal romance genre.  this book is the first book in the Guild Hunter series, which is still ongoing now, this book contains a strong female heroine (AKA: Elena/Elle), a guild hunter, she is both bold and brave in the face of danger, she is very decisive like what you expect on a kick-ass heroine. she is also very protective to her family and friends, which shows that she is soft in some sides. 

The plot is also very interesting and different than others, the story follows Elena as she try to find answers behind her role as a guild hunter, faces an enemy which hunts innocent women and leaves them mutilated and broken and ever so lastly find love that can turn her perception of her world.(so no more spoilers!!!)

The story itself is dynamic and readers can’t help guessing on what’s going to happen next, unlike other romance books, it is neither fast (like insta-love) or slow (where there is no consistency of actions between lovers), it is just a well-written romance without forgetting the plot, which some authors does when writing paranormal romance. For any readers out there who have not read this book, I encourage you to read this, because friends you don’t know what your missing yet, even I could read this book over and over again and still love it.
