hearing someone say they don't feel love and scrambling to prove them wrong like noooo haven't you ever seen a bee land on a flower!!! you know perfectly well that's not what love is. existing in the world and experiencing joy isn't love. wanting to help strangers isn't love. if someone says they don't feel love, believe them. it's not a bad thing and if you think it is you have some internalised stuff to unpack, and that's fine, but you don't have more authority over their feelings than they do

Although I do understand why so many YA protagonists are anti-having kids because of the dangers of the world they live in or just because they're young and unsure if they want them, I love Percy Jackson. He lives with danger and trauma everyday and yet still from the get-go of his relationship he's like: "Annabeth and I are having sons and daughters--our daughter will have blonde hair like Annabeth but my crazy personality and she'll be a super fierce demigod--and wow New Rome is such a safe place for a family; Annabeth and I can hold hands over a café table and watch our kids chase seagulls across the forum." And he has these thoughts at sixteen.

Are y’all over the fact Percy was still wearing Annabeth’s necklace when he fought Luke in the woods?

The material symbol of the five years Annabeth has known and trusted Luke was hanging off Percy’s neck as they fought.

annabeth throwing her dagger at luke in the finale is crazy if you know the history. she’s throwing luke’s promise of family from all those years ago to his face after betraying percy and her. not to mention it’s THE cursed blade in the prophecy

also such wonderful foreshadowing to have annabeth see the fates cut a thread instead of percy
