How to Care for Humans
A Guide for Vampires
Whether it is food or friends, caring for your human is very important. This is a guide to the general care of humans. Remember that all humans have different temperaments, so your human may be different from your covenmembers humans.
Whether born or turned, everyone needs help to care for their humans.
Food Overview
For food, humans must have a varied diet. If you are unsure, try to make sure they eat something from all colors of the rainbow. Human children may say that candy of different colors fits this requirement. If this happens, tell them that is funny and they can have a piece of candy after they eat.
If your human is a feeder human, make sure they have plenty of iron. This can be in the form of red meat, spinach, or supplements. You don't need to give your human fancy supplements; one generic brand a week is good. Try to have muplie feeder humans so they don't get weak from blood loss.
If your human is a friend, try to have them eat 3 meals a day. They can have more if they want. Some humans prefer to graze throughout the day and others like to have feeding times; try both out and see which one your humans like. (Note this may change overtime.)
Some humans eat more than others; that is okay. Just try to make sure they get the nutrients they need. Don't let your humans eat food based on calories. This can lead to undereating and problems later down the line. Try to have a human eat a reasonable amount, but don't force them to eat unless they are sick or unhealthy, then go to your local human caregiver.
