oh kin?

A list of dragonkin things that I personally find relateable

-loving the CRONCH of crunchy foods and crunching them as loud as possible

-collecting every shiny thing you find, even if its just trash

-hoarding other random stuff like sticks or rocks or trash, or anything else that you like or that pertains to your dragonself

-trying to eat rocks as a kid

-why work when you can spend an hour on Netflix looking for everything that has dragons in it

-having a memory and trying to figure out if its real or if its something you saw in a movie once

-CONSTANTLY DOUBTING

-eating stuff loudly and messily when you’re alone and pretending you still have big sharp teeth to eat with

-looking at a super tall tree and being like “yo i wanna climb that”

-nest building

-pretending to be one of the kids from Dragontales as a child

-staring at your nails and wishing they were longer and still claws

-sleeping throughout the day (and night)

-anybody else hoard feathers

-i love feathers

-HOARDING EVERY STUFFED ANIMAL YOU FIND AND ADDING IT TO YOUR EVER-GROWING ARMY OF MINIONS

-sleeping in said stuff animals

-gnawing on things 

might add more later, also these are like…. specific to me but other people will probably relate!!

So! My Faekin post was well received and it was very very fun to write, so I decided to write a Dollkin one!! Just like the previous one, I’ll write a lot from experience so I’m sorry if not everyone enjoys it ;; So! Here goes!

Fashion! Probably the biggest thing that makes me feel wonderful as a doll, is getting to dress like one! I wear Lolita fairly often and when I’m not I wear a lot of old/antique clothing (Like old nightgowns!) Lolita is quite expensive, but antique clothing that looks like what a doll would wear can be found very often at thrift shops, and if you’re good at sewing (or want to learn!) You could make some yourself!

Balljointed Tights! A pair of these can make you feel like a literal doll all the time no matter what you’re wearing, they’re completely precious and inexpensive!

Other dolls! I’ve owned 3 bjds and many other antique dolls, while bjds are expensive they’re absolutely beautiful and wonderful to be around and if you were considering buying one I highly recommend it! But antique dolls are wonderful too! I like my room to be full of dollies, it makes it feel like a large dollhouse!

Tea parties! A typical activity for dolls to do is have tea parties, and they’re very fun! I recommend making tea and sweets and dressing up with some friends for a tea party, or visiting a tea room! We have a tea room here that Maman takes me to sometimes, Having someone bring me to a tea room all dressed up and spoil me with sweets makes me feel like a doll!~

Museums! Dolls are certainly not a thing of the past, and some people might feel closer to modern dolls, but for me personally I’m very much into antique dolls from the Victorian era in particular! Museums often have old dolls (We have one here that has a haunted doll!) Or are very good places for dollies to visit to take pictures! (Here we have an old French mansion turned museum that I LOVE to take selfies in)

A caretaker (I suppose that’s the word?)! Some people may not be comfortable with this idea, but I said I’d write from experience! I have someone who spoils me, dresses me finely (And dresses to match me!) Treats me like a doll and behaves the way people do with their precious dollies! It’s really lovely!

Photoshoots! I love to set up my bjd with little props and take lots of pictures of him, and I like the same to be done with me! Sometimes I dress up and pose with tea cups etc and others take pictures of me!

Big props! Big forks and spoons etc are GREAT if you want to feel tiny or take pictures that make you look scaled down like a little doll!!

Makeup! If you’re good with makeup, it might feel good to do yourself up like a doll! Or you could find tutorials on youtube etc for doll-esque makeup!

Furniture! Decorating your room with elegant or antique furniture, putting a canopy over your bed or hanging lovely mirrors and paintings can certainly help you feel like you live in a dollhouse!
