Since receiving his MBA from SMU Cox School of Business in 2008, Carl Dorvil has gone on to have a successful career. While completing his Bachelor’s, he founded the company, Group Excellence, which is a mentoring and tutoring company. Group Excellence was so successful that Carl Dorvil was able to sell the company and eventually buy it back, turning it into a non-profit. Several years later, he became the youngest African American to take a company public in the United States. This company, GEX Management, has grown quickly and allowed Dorvil to make a name for himself. After resigning from GEX Management, Carl Dorvil now serves as the CEO for another non-profit, Dog for Dog. Carl Dorvil has received numerous recognitions for his success over the years and will continue to change the world through his non-profit.
