Jane pulled him to her roughly, deepening the kiss. She felt quite impatient, and did not want to be teased over something as small as a kiss.

She softened slightly, before pausing so Zachary could take a breath. Smiling, she whispered, “I love you.”

Zachary laughed a little at Janes begging. Who knew she could even say the word ‘daddy’ in this context with a straight face, let alone us it to beg. 

“Well, since you asked me so nicely…” He trailed off as he leaned down to lightly brush his lips against her own.

Alec felt an immense pressure on his chest, as if there was a weight there he couldn’t remove. He felt his next intake of breath become jagged, and the strange feeling of absolute sadness overwhelmed him.

The vampire desperately wished he could cry, at least it would make his feelings seem more real. He felt disgusting at that moment, he couldn’t cry and he obviously couldn’t care for Lily.

God, he loved her. He loved her so much. But he hurt her and now he couldn’t do anything to fix what he had done wrong.

Logan caught Lilys flinch out of the corner of his eyes and turned to her once Alec had fled. Taking her gently into his arms he hugged her, laying his chin atop her head. 

“I’m sorry, honey. Are you feeling okay?” He cooed gently as he rubbed his hands up and down her back, taking in the feel of her in his arms. Alec was so bad for her. Bad for everyone. Why couldn’t she see that? He would never treat her that way. 

When she tilted her head back to look up at him, and provide an answer, he gazed down at her with longing. A longing to show her she could have, that she deserved better. He could be that better.  Moving a hand to caress her face and support the back of her head he started to lean in slowly for a kiss.

Jane whimpered and tilted her head more, relishing the feeling of her husband’s lips against her skin. At Zachary’s statement, the words tumbled out in a sigh.

“Please kiss me, Daddy.” Jane begged, finding herself a bit amused. She was enjoying herself for the first time in months.

“Little girls don’t use words like ‘fuck’, Darling” Zachary admonished. Pulling her closer he began so gently bite and suck along her neck, grinning when she shivered. 

“Please kiss you? You’re missing a word”

“Fuck off,” Alec replied to the newborn, trying to hide the pain he felt. Lily wouldn’t even look at him and Logan suddenly felt the need to act all high and mighty. Nice timing, asshole.

“I’ll be in my room, Lil. I’ll see you later,” he hoped. Knowing what he had done, Lily probably won’t ever be coming back to him.

He left then, running at vampire speed through the halls to his room. He slammed the door so hard at his arrival that the doorway splintered. Swearing, Alec felt a fit of sharp pain in his heart, causing him to kick the chair to his desk across the room. The trail of destruction worsened his mood, and he soon found himself laying on the stone floor and staring at the ceiling, trying to calm down.

Lily watched Alec and Logan interact from her place slightly behind Logan with watchful eyes. 

“I was in the middle of talking with my friend, Alec.” She replied softly.

“Really? Is it because I didn’t use pretty language?” Jane questioned and paused for a moment. Taking in the scene about her, she noted the door to his apartment was still open. The vampire decided she didn’t care.

“Please kiss me.”

Zachary laughed at Janes response. Poor girl. She had no idea what she was messing with. 

“Oh no, Sweetheart. If you think you were tired after that then you’ve got another thing coming.”

“Oh, so we’ll be playing with that again?” Jane asked, her brow raised, “well, then. I’ve been a very naughty girl.”

Jane moved herself even closer at her words, a sort of electricity buzzing through her that seemed to stem from Zach’s palms. Part of her could hardly believe this was happening, she was with him again.

“Daddy has plenty of ideas on teaching little girls to watch their language. Remember that vibrator from the restaurant and the park, little one?” 

Zach moved his hands down to grip Janes hips as he spoke.

Alec resisted the urge to shove Logan aside, instead choosing to lean slightly and speak to his girlfriend. Another pang was felt in his chest at her expression, was she scared of him?

“Hey,” he replied, altogether ignoring the newborn at this point, “Lily, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to spring something like this on you. Can we please talk? Alone?”

Logan didn’t bother to respond to Alec since Lily had given herself away. Instead he rolled his eyes and moved to shut the door. Lily had ran from him for a reason after all and there was no way she wanted to see him right now.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Alec snapped as he held a hand to the door. Cautiously stepping into the threshold, he spoke again.

“Lily? Do you want to talk? I’m sorry if I upset you...”

Jane kept a surprisingly calm composure through this, despite her excitement. God, she loved her husband. He was adorable.

“What’s Daddy going to do about it then?” She questioned with an easy smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck, eyelashes fluttering innocently.

Zach stiffened (haha) as he processed Janes words before letting a dark smile spread across his face. 

“He’d say you were a naughty little girl for using language like that.”

“Aw, that’s too bad,” Jane sighed as she stepped back. Her lips were pursed as to keep from smiling, however her delight was quite evident all the same.

“And here I was going to tell Daddy I wanted him to fuck me.”

Zach stared down as Lilys words glared back up at him from his cell phone screen. 

Daddy? Come play with me? 

“Blushing? Me? Never!” Zachary attempted to laugh it off even as he saw Janes amusement grow.

“It popped up! I just happened to read it! I wasn’t actively going through your things!” Jane defended. Quickly, she became very amused.

“You’re blushing! Does that mean you like it?” She questioned, struggling to maintain composure. She reached up on her toes, kissing his jawbone.

“Why can Lily call you Daddy but not me?”

“You were reading my texts?” Zachary questioned, slightly offended. Did she not trust him? It was just Lily though, so nothing for Jane to freak out about. 

Accepting his phone back, he rolled his eyes. “It’s not like it broke.” 

Looking down at the screen Zachary could feel every muscle in his body freeze and, more rarely, his face begin to heat as blood rushed to his cheeks. 

Oh god, Lily. Why?

Alec’s jaw clenched. Logan just couldn’t help himself, could he? Nevertheless, Alec focused on the matter at hand. He couldn’t be rude to Logan, he couldn’t mess this up. Lily was there. He needed to prove she could trust him and they could be together. They could be happy.

“Just tell her, alright? I’m already looking for her. I just... needed to vent to somebody and, Jane wasn’t available,” the end of his phrase sounded more of a question, however, as he could not rationalize ever speaking to Logan about something as dire as this.

Lily hid behind the door where she knew Alec couldn’t see her and watch Logan as he and Alec conversed. Why had Alec come here when trying to find her? Wouldn’t her rooms have been a better idea? 

Lily felt her bottom lip tremble as she heard Alecs speech to Logan about hurting her and wanting to gain her trust again. She had to cover her mouth to hold in her sob when she heard the part about still loving her, even if she were to say no.

“Nothing! I just thought to stop by and help you pack. Lily texted you.”

Jane bit her lip, hoping that might invoke some sort of secret message as to what she read. It was... sudden and jarring, for sure, but she was into it.

Standing up, she found Zachary’s phone- thankfully in good condition- and handed it to him.

“Sorry. For throwing it,” Jane apologized as she cleared her throat awkwardly.

Zach opened and closed his mouth a few times as he watched Jane. What was she doing here? And why did she have his phone? More importantly, why did she throw it? 

“I can see that. What were you doing?”
