I was at a concert, and the actor, who sang for Eric, had a broken leg. I thought it was an interesting concept. So here's my modern hospital au.

Eric cannot walk without crutches, prefers to wear loose clothes (such as soft sportswear). He is quite satisfied with the hospital gown, but he is shy about it in front of Christine, so he wears a cloak.

He plays the piano in the hospital concert hall, where few people look in. Christine met him there when she visited Madame Valerius.

I think this Eric is quite calm and balanced, but he seems tired all the time.
