You have friends, family and a life.

Then you leave to be on your own and "grow up" and make new friends, a new family and a new life.

Then you go back to where you started out, and it feels like you haven't grown up at all. You thought that everything and everyone would stay the same while you were gone, time would freeze; that you would have your old friends, family and life just sitting there waiting for you when you got back. But they changed too, while you were away. They "grew up" and make new friends, new families, and fell in love..without you.

And now you feel alone. You feel so left behind.
