I don't understand why Chase suddenly changed his opinion about Carmen in Venice. He already knew that Carmen returns stolen items, and the issue was that he didn't know her motives. In Venice, he saw something he already knew, but Carmen's motives remained unknown to Chase – meaning he learned nothing new. Therefore, his change of opinion about Carmen seems strange and unfounded. Moreover, Chase's kidnapping and his discovery of VILE Island (two Chekhov's guns that should have gone off according to genre conventions) were completely forgotten and played no role in Chase changing his opinion about Carmen."

I love carmen with all my heart but sometimes some of the things she says makes it soooo clear the writers are american because of the stereotypical things they have her say about other countries/cultures. yeah most of the time what they have the characters say are things praising the environment but it sometimes lacks creativity and cultural awareness. even some of the characters are walking stereotypes

I've heard people criticize chief for her password, but like I get it, ACME is just as unknown as VILE, which is the "world's best kept evil secret" so chief would be just as mysterious, how could anyone know about her cat, let alone her name, so I get it.

I want VILE to be revived under the sole leadership of a 'Complete Monster'-type kind of villain; one who directly challenges both Carmen and A.C.M.E. for their beliefs and admits that there is no end goal to stealing, then destroying what has stolen. Their unhinged and destructive attitude would have them cross lines not even Maelstrom or Paper Star dare cross.
A bit overused and edgy I admit but sometimes, I believe that certain players would have diversify the kinds of villains the show depicts. An irredeemable scoundrel would shift the tone completely, even if it lasts for an episode or two.

What does everyone think about during training at VILE Academy, do you think they have different little classes or do they pack all 40 into the one room. I also wonder if they get an assigned a faculty member that they go to if they have any issues ranging from my keycard won’t let me in my room to needing advice for something since they can’t contact anyone else on the island.

I actually think paper star is quite overrated. The one note psychotic murder girl character is such a tired trope imo. They did it in the total drama reboot with scary girl too and i also dislike her

I love redcrackle and i think the reason is because Carmen and Gray are just one of the better written characters for the show Like i like other Carmen ships but i think the way they knew each other as friends and then as enemies and then as friends again makes it very interesting.

Does anyone else wonder what happened right after Carmen got mind wiped in season 4? Like what happened when she woke up, how did she react to things, did she keep getting flashes of memories due to different variables? I feel like she would constantly need to be mind wiped in order for the Faculty to get their perfect thief. I wish we got more in depth storylines with Carmen and the Faculty during this time, it would have been so interesting

Carmen and the image of a femme fatale are incompatible concepts. Carmen is too kind and romantically inexperienced for that. She's a fighter, not a seductress.

cookie booker shouldve been a much bigger character
carlotta valdez shouldve been a much bigger character
coach brunt shouldve been a much bigger character
(sorry if someone sent this before or if this has been said before and im wasting your time lmao)
Also, something i want to explain or whatever, when carmen becomes "evil", she says to zack that she does (thievery) because "she likes the mental gymnastics" a reference to a line the old carmen says in WOEICS (i think).
this irked me, because the old carmen isnt a bad person, far from it as I'm sure yall know, this was her reply to maelstrom after he states that (they) simply steal "to take what others have, period". That this is nothing more than just simple thievery and profit.
I think evil carmen stole purely for the satisfaction, not the mental gymnastics, it wasn't like it was crazy difficult or required a lot of planning, she just liked doing it because it felt good to steal something super valuable. the line makes no sense here. still a cool throwback line though, i just feel like it wasn't necessary there or anywhere, as it seemed little to no characters in carmen sandiego actually stole for any other reason, besides wanting to get profit, or wanting to make the world a better place. So ironically, a line that carmen once said to combat maelstroms selfish nature, has been recycled to represent maelstroms ideal for carmen (since hes in VILE faculty and they programmed that head thingy, you know what i mean).
I also think, this gave (atleast in the early days of 2019 carmen sandiego) a bad misconception of the carmen(s) before 2019 carmen sandiego, though i do not see this as much anymore.

As someone who went through divorce and betrayal of trust by my own parents, I feel so sorry for Carmen and I really do want her to have her own traditional family
