It’s hard to call it an “apocalypse”, exactly. No-one died and nothing was destroyed. But everyone talks like an NPC now. Their eyes are empty. They walk in silence, never so much as stepping differently. There are still billions of humans, but you’re worried that you’re the last person left.

I cannot put into words how much I Fucking Loathe the fact that when you search something on youtube now it will randomly intersperse blocks of "people also watched" and "for you" into the results. That's not what I searched for, youtube. I typed in a search query because I wanted to see search results, not random unrelated garbage you have placed in my way apparently to either inconvenience me or force me to scroll further for actual results. I despise your wretched little games and every time I see it I can only instantly close the tab as I am overcome with the urge to burn something down.

⛥ Seb's Vampire Lore ⛥
insanely long and outrageously detailed. reposted because the old page was terminated. may get updated as I remember details. this is the lore that I base my own vampirism on, and was compiled from several sources of lore and myth. anyway, enjoy ~♡
feeding: vampires can feed on anything that bleeds, but human blood is naturally the most nutritious source. if desired, vampires can produce and release a mild anesthetic (referred to as venom) into the bloodstream of their victim to lessen the pain and cause a mild euphoria, often making it easier for the vampire to feed on the mildly sedated human. blood type affects flavor and quality, with the rarest blood types being the most enjoyable and sought after, although personal preferences vary from vampire to vampire. substances in the blood such as drugs and alcohol can in turn alter the state of mind of a vampire that feeds upon it (ex. a vampire feeding on a drunk human may get a bit of a buzz). animal blood can sustain a vampire but it's not as healthy or tasty. the blood of other supernatural beings (werewolves, angels, demons, etc.) will have varying effects depending on the source, and often have distinct and interesting flavors. vampires cannot properly digest solid human food, although some consume it for amusement, but will have to purge it after the fact. liquids and beverages can be consumed without consequence given that they do not contain substances that can harm a vampire. many vampires are known to enjoy coffee, wine and liquor, although some vampires also take a liking to sugary drinks as well. healthy adult vampires can survive several weeks between proper feedings, but will have to feed more regularly if they aren't being fed properly with human blood. vampires who are recovering from illness or injury will need to feed more frequently in order to heal. if a growing vampire is not properly fed, growth will often be stunted and they will not grow to full size.
turning and creation: vampires come into existence either by being born or turned. vampires may turn humans through a process of feeding upon them, draining them of most of their blood, and feeding the human vampire's blood in return. the turning process takes roughly 24 hours and can be reversed in that time if proper measures are taken. reversal spells and antidotes exist but are not well known.
lifespan: vampires are biologically immortal, meaning that they can live indefinitely so long as they are healthy and well fed. born vampires grow and mature physically at the same rate as humans, although take longer to mature mentally (ex. a vampire in their 20s may act more like a teenager.) once a vampire has reached physical maturity their appearance will not change with age, although they will grow more and more wise as they live. turned vampires will only continue to age in appearance if they are turned as children, but if they are turned as adults they will remain in that physical form until they die.
abilities, traits and behaviors: vampires are naturally nocturnal by nature, and often prefer to sleep during daylight hours. vampires are naturally cold to the touch, and maintain a low body temperature, so many prefer to wear many layers of clothing in dark colors in order to retain heat for comfort. vampires have enhanced hearing, eyesight and sense of smell, as well as physical strength, given that they are properly fed. traditionally vampires will have two fangs in the place of their upper canine teeth, which can be retracted and hidden according to the vampire's will. fangs are known to descend involuntarily when a vampire is hungry or threatened. vampires are extremely loyal, both to their nest (a pack or family of sorts) or a romantic partner. vampires will protect their own with their lives and very rarely live alone. vampires are known to purr when happy or relaxed, growl or hiss when threatened, and whine or whimper when scared. nesting and hoarding behaviors are also common, with vampires wrapping themselves in soft materials and comforting or prized possessions. chewing or teething is a common self soothing behavior for many vampires, and some vampires have been known to chew on their own limbs to comfort themselves in times of great stress. biting and play fighting behaviors are often displayed towards a vampire's mate or partner, often resulting in minor injuries which they will lovingly take care of after the fact. vampires will act in a dominant or submissive way depending on the situation, often depending on the strength and capabilities of the other being they are facing. vampires will often act in a dominant way towards a weaker being such as a human, and in turn are more likely to respond submissively when faced with a stronger being. a nest of vampires will often have an alpha or pack leader, and they are traditionally the eldest and/or strongest vampire in the nest.
relationship with humans: to most vampires, humans are seen as simply a food source. vampires will generally live on the fringes of human society, only entering to hunt or study human habits. vampires often have no issue blending in but will often display social anxiety around humans. vampires will usually avoid close contact with humans for fear of accidently running into a vampire or monster hunter. when hunting, a vampire will often isolate and pretend to befriend a vulnerable human, and then lure them to a secondary location to either be killed or ambushed by other vampires from the same nest. some vampires sympathize with humans and opt to feed on animals in order to spare their lives. vampire/human relationships are uncommon but not unheard of. some vampires will befriend or sometimes become romantically involved with humans. vampires who consort with humans are often exiled from vampires society and are left to fend on their own.
vulnerabilities: the most common and effective ways to kill vampires are beheading, a wooden stake or silver spike to the heart, or a lethal shot from a silver bullet. silver will easily cut the flesh of a vampire, as well as cause an excruciating burning sensation on contact. holy water has a similar effect, but cannot permanently harm the exterior of a vampire, although it can cause serious damage if ingested or injected into the body. garlic, holy salt and wolfsbane will cause a vampire extreme discomfort and illness if ingested and the smell will cause stress and discomfort, but they cannot be lethal on their own. dead man's blood acts as a poison and will significantly subdue a vampire, but is not lethal on its own. wounds from regular, non-silver weapons will cause pain and injury, but cannot kill, even if it is a lethal blow (with the exception of beheading). sunlight is irritating and draining to a vampire, but cannot cause any permanent damage. religious objects such as crucifixes have no effect on vampires, although they will often pretend to be repelled by them to mess with humans. most medications work the same on vampires as they would on humans, primarily pain medications and sedatives. vampires are susceptible to the same mental illnesses as humans and statisticlly are more likely to suffer from mental health issues. vampires generally have a higher pain tolerance than humans and can function fairly well while injured.
