Adam was born in the Kngdom of Atlas. He early lost his mother, who raised him alone. After the death of his only relative, he ended up in an orphanage. He was soon adopted by a family of SDC workers. As it turned out, the corporation practiced this in order to obtain literally slave power. Adopted children were almost immediately sent to the mines, where they had to work on an equal basis with adults, extracting dust. Because of their small size, children could fit where adults could not. They were poorly fed, and they were hardly allowed to sleep or rest. They did not receive any education, because it was believed that slaves did not need it.

Most of the child slaves died after months or years of work, but Adam was comparatively lucky. He spent almost ten years in the mines and managed to survive. However, during this time, his body was covered with scars due to beatings and bullying by human employees. He also lost two nails on his right hand.

One day, an administrator who hated faunus was appointed to the mine where Adam worked. His favorite hobby was branding slaves, whom he perceived as cattle. As punishment for a small mistake, he, along with several other employees, mutilated Adam's face, putting a brand on his left eye. Due to the injury, Adam partially lost sight in his left eye. He has retained the ability to see with them, but even opening his eyes is painful for him. The pain experienced by Taurus at that moment was so intense that he revealed his semblance and managed to escape, hiding aboard a SDC ship bound for Mistral with a cargo of dust.

The transport Adam was on board was shot down from a man portable air defence system by members of the Branwen tribe in order to seize the cargo he was transporting. Adam was lucky to survive, and although the bandits wanted to kill him, their leader, Raven Branwen, stood up for him. Seeing the potential in Adam, she accepted him into the tribe and began to train him, hoping that he would become a good warrior and benefit them. It was Raven who gave Adam his blade, which she took from the slain hunter. However, after a few years, she noticed that Taurus wasn't too interested in being part of the clan and didn't share her views, so Raven left him alone. This only added fuel to the fire of hatred for humanity raging in his heart and led him to consider all people either traitors or enemies.

In Mistral, Adam created a small group of faunus who fought for their rights. Adam drew the attention of the leadership of the nascent organization White Fang, which fought for the rights of faunus. Although his methods, such as destroying the property of racists, seemed unnecessarily cruel to the leader of the organization, many other members of the White Fang approved of them. Adam was invited to the White Fang and he gladly agreed, bringing the members of his group there as well. Thanks to the outstanding fighting skills Raven taught him, he quickly gained a high position working as a bodyguard for the leader of the organization, Ghira Belladonna. Hiding his scar and fearing to appear weak, he began wearing the same mask as Raven. Later, these masks would become the most recognizable element of White Fang's uniform.

One day, White Fang attacked slavers who were abducting faunus for the SDC. Attempts to resolve the issue without bloodshed failed and bullets flew at the faunus. Adam was able to neutralize most of the slavers, but the last one was accidentally killed by him. This infuriated the leader of the organization, Ghira Belladonna, who felt that because of this, the White Fang were recognized as radicals. He succeeded in expelling Adam, also taking credit for the fact that they did not arrest him, but gave him the opportunity to leave.

Disappointed in White Fang, Adam, along with several faunus who left the organization with him, decided to fight against racism using armed methods. They set themselves the goal of eliminating a number of the most influential businessmen and politicians of racist views. Everything went well at first. The rich throughout Remnant, fearing for their lives, abandoned anti-faunus rhetoric and lifted bans on faunus visiting their establishments. However, as a result of the first attempt on Jacques Schnee, Adam lost one of his fighters. Seeking revenge, he began to launch more and more risky and violent attacks, thinking less about plans for retreat. As a result, during the second assassination attempt on Jacques Schnee, which took place in Vale, he was seriously injured and collapsed on the balcony of an apartment belonging, as it turned out, to the director of Beacon, Professor Ozpin. He saved Adam and healed his wounds, but in return demanded to join his academy. Cinder was born in the kingdom of Mistral, on the shores of Lake Matsu. Apart from this information, she knows nothing more about her life until she enters an orphanage. She got there as a baby, with only a note with her name and surname. In Mistral, where hunters have never been able to protect the entire population, and deaths at the hands of bandits and Grimm's claws have never been unusual, orphanages have always been overcrowded, and therefore children there have rarely been given proper education. Because of this, Cinder has significant problems with education, which, however, are partially offset by good intelligence and rich experience for her age.

At the age of 10, she was adopted by a wealthy widow from Atlas, who already had two children of her own. For the downtrodden and despised little girl, this became hope, and at first the foster mother was kind to her. However, a few weeks later, the old mask of kindness fell off the face of the woman who adopted her, exposing her cruel nature. The only thing Madame was interested in was slave labor, for which she paid Cinder with a couple of hours of sleep and an undercooked meal. Fall worked at the Glass Unicorn Hotel owned by her foster family for most of the day, not even allowed to go outside. When she unlocked her manifestation and revealed her aura, Madame and her own daughters began to fear her and hung an electric collar around her neck, with which they kept her under control and mocked her. One day, her foster mother decided to severely punish Cinder for a minor offense and overdid the electric collar, burning a patch of skin on the girl's neck down to the flesh. She expected Cinder to die, so she threw her into the basement to live out her last days. However, she managed to survive. Her aura healed the wounds, but due to fatigue, cold, and malnutrition, the process was slow. In particular, her voice, which had disappeared due to punishment, returned to her only two weeks later, and until that moment, Fall was afraid that she had lost the opportunity to speak.

One day, one of the hotel guests, a hunter named Rhodes, noticed Cinder and the effect of her manifestation. He decided to train a young but precocious girl who was in a difficult situation, hoping that in the future she would turn out to be a good hunter. Rhodes taught her how to wield a sword, taught her how to use aura, and told her a lot about the world hidden behind the walls of the hotel in which she was a slave. Cinder believed him and hoped that when she turned 17, she would be free and become a huntress. Not just because it's cool, but to prevent other people from being in a position similar to hers.

Unfortunately, however, life is by no means a fairy tale. One day, Cinder's foster sisters found out that she was storing weapons and informed their mother about it. Madame was so angry that she was ready to kill Cinder. The foster family hurt her again, mocked and tortured her, saying that as punishment they would send her to a brothel, where she would die in a few years either from syphilis or at the hands of an abusive client. But they didn't know that the collar was no longer dangerous to the girl. She freed herself and killed all three of them: her foster mother and both stepsisters. Fall didn't regret it. The only thing that upset her was that before they died, they did not experience at least a small part of the pain that she experienced because of them.

After hearing the sounds of screams, Rhodes, who was in the hotel at the time, came to the room where Cinder killed her foster family and witnessed the aftermath of the murder. He prepared to arrest Cinder and was even ready to use a weapon, but the crying and exhausted girl told him all the details about what had happened. And Rhodes softened, realizing his guilt for what had happened. Despite his devotion to the law, he knew that Fall probably had no other choice in this situation. Rhodes told her to run, giving her money, weapons and telling her what she had to do. He decided to take the blame for what happened, but in return, he asked Cinder to become a huntress and replace him in this role. She didn't have to take lives, but save them. In tears, Cinder promised to do it.

A couple of months later, a young Atlas citizen arrived at Vail Airport, who was able to enroll in Beacon Academy using forged documents. The future huntress's name was Cinder Fall.

Cinder's mentor took the blame for the murder of her foster family upon himself, demanding that in return she enroll in Beacon and use the skills he taught her to protect humanity. But who could have known that it would be so hard! Instead of the usual team, Cinder became the leader of a group consisting of a misanthropic faunus with a dark past and two thieves in love with each other. They are the most problematic team at Beacon. They're criminals who belong in prison. But Ozpin sees them as the hope of humanity.

This is the announcement of a new AU. For me, the first one. Today, almost ten people, including several artists, are working on the project. CARN is an illustrated fanfic, the events of which begin three years before the events of the canon.
