Carrie just looked at Sweeney fearfully. Her wound had been bandaged and she had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders.

Carrie stuttered out, practically in hysterics, unable to calm down. It was like she had been stabbed again. She looked up at Norman helplessly. She tried her best to tilt her head to show him her wounded neck.

*Knock knock*

Carrie answered the door.

Carrie continued to pat the wet sand down. She began to make a large shape at his feet, starting to make it look like a fish tail.

Carrie let out a playful scream. She slapped her hands on the water a few times before running, more like quick waddling, into the deeper water.

Carrie stayed far away from the water, quietly digging a little hole in the sand.

Carrie looked at herself in the full length mirror. She had never worn a bathing suit like this. When she was younger and had gone to camp, it had been a camp shirt and shorts for swimming, but now, it was an actual bathing suit.

She felt… Wrong. Sinful. Naked, especially from how much skin was showing. But at the same time, free. Free from her mother and her teachings, free from the guilt that God would send her to Hell for being the Whore of Babylon, like the woman next door. It was like the weight of ten years had been lifted off her back. Was this what it felt like to be a regular girl? Carefree? Unafraid of the consequences?

Carrie nervously swallowed. She looked at herself for quite some time before putting her outdoors clothes over her bathing suit and grabbing her things.

Just at the mention of Oreos Carrie looked at him like he had just told her whole family died. Which they technically did.

… I don’ feel good….
