since @aurianasapplebasket had posted both lyna and carissa’s designs i thought i’d pop in and talk a bit about some of the lore we wanted for the two!!

both lyna and carissa are lower levels than the core 3, not sure on the exact levels but imagine lyna and carissa as level maybe 3-5ish whereas the core 3 are probably around 10. a lot of their arc is them figuring out how to use their magic, so basically the campaign for them starts shortly before the core 3 arrive at the resistance! the resistance gang is basically found family and i <3 them

carissa the half-orc barbarian

calix is home to a lot of fighters, and those with orc blood are not as common, making carissa already an outcast among her people. it’s somewhat like a merida situation, where she knows she’s destined to be a fighter, but is told she is unable to constantly by her family.

throwing izira into the mix- idk if she’s getting fully fleshed out or not, carissa catches wind of the resistance forming and immediately jumps at the bit looking to join the fight. izira is very hesitant at first, but with persistence, carissa eventually joins the resistance and abandons her duties as a princess.

within the resistance carissa is very attached to izira, and practically is begging her to give her a position as a fighter instead of just helping around the camp, but izira knows how little power she can control, and opts to source new fighters from newer recruits, which basically throws carissa over the edge.

at that time is when the core 3 are getting to the resistance, so when izira offers to send carissa and lyna with them, carissa is thrilled to leave, still filled with confusion and dejection by how izira treated her.

lyna the elf druid

the kingdom of borealis is basically a kingdom of druids, where knowledge is passed down from the elders to the newest generations. the power of nature flows strongly in their blood, and the druids learn basic magic as children but are properly trained as they reach adulthood.

the kingdom though, was one of the first in the over world to be raided by gramorr, lyna successfully escaped and then took refuge in the resistance.

unlike carissa, lyna isn’t as interested in fighting, and instead uses her basic knowledge of her magic to help around the camp to cure wounds and just be a helping hand, but since she isn’t an adult yet, she wasn’t taught how to use her magic, and is stuck at a very beginner level which is her biggest insecurity.

lyna picks up a close bond with izira, since izira is a sorcerer, izira attempts to teach her some basics about spell casting and the power of her mind, but it doesn’t fully translate since different classes, however she attempts to learn as much as she can.

she’s hesitant to join the core 3 when they arrive, however with some encouragement she realizes this may be the best way to figure out her abilities, and joins them.

Hi everyone! This is my first blog along with the introduction of an AU me and @carrotfields started creating.

Lolirock X Dnd ; where I’ll be drawing the cast and helping create a story for them to live in.

Lyna is a wood elf noble, and until Gramorr attacked, lived in Borealis.

Borealis is a kingdom of the trees, each resident in tune with the nature surrounding them. The overarching plot will be canon adjacent as far as prologues and backstories go. Main focus is designs as of right now. Also my lawyer told me that if people say this isn’t how dnd works that I’m legally allowed to send them to jail.
