Train Your Pet Against Separation Anxiety
Tumblr media
Pets are very sensitive to their environment. They become accustomed to and comfortable in a setting, so it is understandable that a change in environment would prove to be disorientating. When a familiar setting is changed, your pet may feel anxious. This adjustment period is when separation anxiety can rear its head.
As a pet parent, it is important to recognize the signs of anxiety and know how to deal with them. Pets are like babies, so it is crucial to take things slow when trying to get them to be comfortable in a new home. Remember, they will become used to a new environment at their own pace, so it is best to keep them comfortable while they do so. Here’s how you can do that.
Getting Them Used to Their Habitat
In the absence of recognizable sights and smells, your pet might feel detached from the scene. To make them more familiar, do what you would do. If you move to a new place, whether it is through pet travel export or pet transportation import, or a domestic pet relocation, you spend time exploring the sights to help establish some familiarity with your immediate vicinity. The same goes for your pet; encourage your pet to explore their new home, be by their side when they do so as well. Remember that your pet is a baby, and is as new to this setting as you are. Developing a sense of familiarity is not an overnight process.
First time Apart
You’ll eventually have to leave your house to go outside, and by extension, your pet. Having the only recognizable human disappear for hours and hours does not sound good for them, and this induces separation anxiety. The key to resolving this situation is to take baby steps. Starting with shorter durations and consistently coming back will help develop a sense of security and an    understanding that you’ll be gone for a while and back at the same time every day. Start by leaving them alone in a room for a while, and reward them for it. Slowly increase the duration until your pet is as comfortable in this setting as they were in their old one.
Attention and Affection
The initial period is when your pet is at their most vulnerable. it is our responsibility as pet parents to give them all the love they need while coping. Play with them, take them for a walk, or just do what your pet loved doing in their previous home. Keep toys handy as well, some treats should help soften the process as well.
All They Need is Love
Pets can’t see things with logic or reason like humans can; they’re animals after all. It is imperative to remain patient, understanding and loving, even if they are not in the happiest of moods. All they need is your understanding, and they will be lounging in their new home in no time.

Emirates Airlines – Excess baggage allowance: Fees and Policy 2021
Tumblr media
Planning the journey back to your home after a luxurious stay in Dubai or the beautiful sightseeing in the Alps? Of course, you will be overloaded with special local gifts for your loved ones back at home. With every additional item, the space to accommodate increases, and so does your baggage! And with that excess luggage of overcoats or special woollens or just fancy gifts, one is pushed to think about the options of opting for excess baggage allowance with either the airlines directly or an excess baggage relocation company that offers you the service without you getting involved and spoiling your return journey over the entire planning of transfer.
Emirates Airlines, founded in March 1985, is one of the most prominent airlines and the largest in the Middle East. With its headquarters in Dubai, Emirates operates in more than 150 cities of 80 countries via its fleet of approximately 300 aircraft. Until July 2020, the airlines operate a fleet of 252 passenger flights and 11 cargo aircraft that are operated under Emirates SkyCargo. Best known for its world-class service within a short period, Emirates Airlines is one such airline that can be looked at for a seamless, timely, and convenient excess baggage transfer. So, before you book that air ticket with Emirates Airlines or plan to get in touch with an excess baggage transfer company, here is what you need to know about the airlines’ policies and fees to plan better.
A sneak peek into Emirates Airlines Baggage allowance
Emirates airlines are pretty reasonable when it comes to the carry-on baggage allowance, while in the case of standard/checked baggage allowance, it majorly depends on your travel class, fare type, the destination you are flying to, and what type of Emirates Skywards membership you have.
Checked Baggage allowance and fees
All Emirates Airlines allow some amount of checked luggage at no additional cost, which is based on either the total weight of your luggage or pieces of luggage you have. This concept is called the weight/piece concept where the weight concept applies to most of the routes while the piece concept applies on flights to and from the Americas and originating from Africa.
Allowance based on Weight Concept:
You can check in as many bags based on your travel class, limiting each bag to a weight of 32 kg and its total dimensions (length + width + height) up to 300 cm (118 inches).
Please Note: Weight concept is applicable if your trip from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, or the Americas includes a layover in Dubai for more than 24 hours or in Europe or Africa.
Tumblr media
Please Note: 25 kg and 30 kg in Economy Special for flights between UAE and India and Economy Saver for journeys commencing in Australia and New Zealand on tickets booked on/after November 26th, 2019, respectively.
Tumblr media
Allowance based on Piece Concept:
You can check in as many bags based on your travel class with each bag having a travel allowance limiting its total dimensions (length + width + height) up to 150 cm (59 inches).
For Emirates flights to and from the Americas and commencing in Africa:
Tumblr media
Please Note: 2 pieces of baggage weighing up to 23 kg each in Economy Special, in case your journey is originating from Africa and your ticket was booked before May 11th, 2020.
For Emirates flights within the Americas and between the US and Europe:
Tumblr media
Excess Baggage allowance and fees
Air travellers who are flying via Emirates Airlines can easily pay to increase their baggage allowance. Any luggage item that is exceeding total dimensions (length + width + height) of 300 cm (118 inches), cannot be checked in as standard baggage on Emirates flights and has to be sent via cargo/freight by buying excess baggage allowance. Flyers holding Emirates tickets can either buy excess baggage allowance services on their own or get in touch with excess baggage relocation companies.
Where to buy Emirates excess baggage allowance at?
At the airport; payments to be done by credit/debit cards
At check-in desk in local currency
Through local Emirates’ offices at current exchange rates
Online – by logging in to ‘Manage your booking’ and pay by credit card in the same currency used to buy your ticket, four hours before the flight (cheaper mode of buying Emirates excess baggage services than buying at the airport and avail discounts up to 50 to 60%)
Please Note: Emirates excess luggage services can be bought on adult and child tickets but not on an infant ticket and should mandatorily be issued by flights operated by Emirates. Emirates Airlines uses USD as its standard legal tender for excess baggage charges and in case you are paying in another currency, the current exchange rate (on transaction day) is applicable.
Excess Baggage Allowance based on Weight Concept:
If your baggage allowance is on the ticket based on the weight concept, then you can purchase additional/excess kg of baggage till the total weight does not exceed the maximum weight allowance based on the travel class. The weight of each bag is limited to up to 32 kg and total dimensions up to 300 cm (118 inches). Buying Emirates excess luggage services in advance:
If the excess baggage allowance is bought well in advance, up to four hours before the departure of your flight, then you are eligible to avail of Emirates excess baggage charges at a discount of 50 to 60%. Emirates excess luggage services can be bought in blocks of 5 kg, up to a maximum allowance of 50 kg.
Buying Emirates excess luggage services at the airport will cost the following:
