MCU verse: awkward times with Steve or Sharon learning to deal with suddenly having a mostly adult 'kid'

original verse bonding with parents

maybe a storyline where Cap died at some point in her original verse so finding Steve in the MCU is a big emotional thing for her; time with the dad she didn't have

original verse: dealing with the pressure of being raised as Cap/Sharon's kid; having to be the perfect daughter

dumb MCU verse: following the stupid Cap ending of him going back in time, Ellie going to NY to find Bucky because surely he'd know where her dad is and being VERY confused at her dad having gone back in time and her mom being with her uncle in this timeline

what if Ellie was born in the MCU timeline slightly before or around the same time as Morgan and was sent to be raised with Tony and Pepper where it was safe? Her parents are on the run trying to figure out what to do to fix the world. could be a child!verse or years later with this background.

She'd been waiting for this. It had been a tossup over who would get there first; Sharon or Steve. Ellie also didn't know who she would have preferred in this moment but either way she knew it wasn't going to go well. Sharon might have at least been a little understanding. It wasn't like she'd purposefully almost gotten kidnapped while on a supposed date. It really wasn't her fault that her date had been a trap. How was she supposed to know?

Sure she'd been trained from a young age like any other kid that 'stranger danger' and to keep in public places. Probably moreso. But she really thought in this new universe where no one knew her for her family that things might have been different.

"Do we really need the theatrics?" she sighed, pulling the blanket tighter around herself for comfort. She'd made a dumb decision but she'd handled it. Without his help. The EMT had checked her out and said she was fine. Couldn't he just drop it or wait until they got home. for the yelling.

"Look I screwed up, okay?!" She shouted back as he continued to tell her off. "Maybe I thought for once I could be something other than Captain America or Sharon Carter's daughter. Maybe I thought someone could have been interested in me for me. Excuse me for breathing."
