The King and His Mage from F. T. Lukens new book “So This is Ever After.”
I spent this whole book wanting to smoosh their ridiculous, oblivious faces together, so I have smooshed their ridiculous, oblivious faces together.
Everyone go read this book. It is a DELIGHT.

I mean, the good news is, I get a big enough thump on my head, I can change, you know? I can learn. I can crawl forward.

I start all my posts and messages with “and” and “also” because thanks to ADHD I do not experience the linear progression of time and every thought leads into the next one it is an interconnected web of existence and you are all the mosquitos on which I feast

Ok so the thing about reading like books which are “predictable” is that I, a story enjoyer, go completely bonkers about it bc its like Enrichment in my Enclosure. A scene parallels another earlier scene between different characters thus serving to highlight the differences in their views and priorities???? A line makes me think “hmmm I bet that’s gonna be relevant later” ends up being relevant later????? I am a tiger chewing ice cubes out of a pumpkin. I’m so so happy. Please foreshadow more things. Throw the completely anticipateable plot beats at me like catnip mousies!!!!!

there are no hard rules for human interaction but honestly i think everyone online would benefit hugely from operating under the assumption that, unless you have been given a specific reason to think otherwise in discrete instances, internet strangers do not want to be approached with:
your trauma, illnesses, or deep-rooted self worth issues
any come-ons or sexual content
over-familiar playful rudeness
information about your dnd characters/ocs
disagreements with their harmless subjective opinions
if it is your first time speaking with someone i can not highly enough recommend that these do not be your opening topics

Was this kind of scene too much to ask for, suffer brothers? 😩
I didn’t get a grieving scene so I gotta do it myself

y'know I feel like, in terms of original concept and extended cast, Encanto deserves the Tangled the Series treatment so it can expand on all its potential dynamics and deeper lore. and so it can give me more songs to belt in the shower
