non TB Post // Skippy: the bush kangaroo.

..would anyone care about a post-skippy parody?

Skippy the bush kangaroo is an all time australian classic that i grew up watching on tv with my grandfather. not a fan og the animated version, how dare they make skippy a boy.. but over all, i really enjoyed the live action series (both original 1968 and 1992, the adventures of skippy the bush kangaroo.), mainly because it makes it feel more real.. with an animated 2d series, yea its cool its a silly cartoon about a kangaroo in the wild getting up to chaos but the live action just made it feel more real, like skippy could actually play the piano, or dial a rotary telephone by herself, or even start a car. now, i've had this idea for quite some time now. simularly to sonny and skippy, a young girl nicknamed julie and her lorikeet.

since it would be pre-skippy with the last episode connecting onto the original 1968 show, as i've researched, the breed of lorikeet would be very rare, considering in 1960 a few lorikeets escaped from an avery in an island near perth and never managed to get them back, and the population of rainbow lorikeets in perth grew, and eventually moved to all around the country, from my understanding.

i like to think that julie rescued the lori in perth, and then later found out she was moving to outback nsw! as a little goof, julies parents actually owned the land where waratah park is in the parody. last episode being, she moves to victoria to be more closer with the rest of her family, and in the backgrounds of skippy: the bush kangaroo, she still sends letters to sonny as they're best friends.

the little lorikeet is based off of my own bird, charlie. i try to include him as tiny little goofs in my oc's fandoms, like SPRP on twitter and Thunderbirds rp here on tumbler, with Marccus rescuing her from outside his school that he has to go to which is in...australia. if you cant tell by now, im australian. thats also another thing i include in most of my ocs, knowing there arent many australian characters in most tv shows, that i have heard of anyway.

i dont want to give any spoilers or anything because i really want to make this into an actual thing and keep you guys watching, possibly.

i really hope i can make this into an actual thing one day, i really do. another little funny: even though lori's are small/medium in size, they are very much chaos creators, which i find really funny. maybe lori talking to a cokatiel, a galah and a red-tailed black cockatoo making fun of how small he is, and then he shows them later on that even with his size, he's much more of a help than they are.

just wanted to ask what would you guys think?
