Warrior cats project!!
Acorn Fur - Chocolate
FIRST DESIGN LET'S GO!!!
A founder probably shouldn't resemble the future standards but I really wanted to draw a SkyClan cat looking like a SkyClan cat. I am proud of this!!! That longass tail can balance on any branch! >:D
#cats#cat#my art#cat art#reblog#I will get to the phenotype asks in my inbox!!#I just need to access my visualizer again#Didn't intend for acorn to be so reddish#But here we are!! 🤷♂️

Note
Does the visualizer have only colorations or does it have fur types and lengths as well?
It only has colorations!
I'm not opposed to fur types and lengths but that's for the future.

Cat pixel bases!
While I've had to put the genetics project on hold, I was able to recover some pixel art and transport it to my tablet. So, I've been making cat bases!
Send in a breed request through an ask and I'll do it! I also appreciate feedback.
Some examples(should scale)
Domestic Shorthair
Norwegian Forest Cat
LaPerm (shorthair and longhair)
Devon Rex

The visualizing phenotypes project has to be set aside for a while as I lost access to the current version. The lefthand side of its motherboard is beyond repair and there's an expensive 50/50 chance I'll be able to recover all of my files. If I can't recover it, I'll have to use the backup from November.
In the meantime, I'm drafting works for a warrior cats genetics project. I'll post a few small family trees eventually to get input the project off the ground!
I'll also be reblogging cat art!

Visualizing Phenotypes: Extension Preview Part 2, Corin, and Widebanding
Next First Prev
Hello hello!! I ran out of room in the first post, so this one will contain russet-carnelian, carnelian, widebanding, copper, and sunshine previews!
For the extension genes, previews will be shown with a diluted black(blue) base. Phenotypes will be in the alt.
Featured agouti genes: Agouti, charcoal, non-agouti
Other: Dilution, inhibitor
Russet-carnelian - erec
Carnelian - ecec
For widebanding(phenotypically called golden), there will only be one available base. However, I hope to add a scale in which you can change how golden a cat appears. Phenotypes will be in the alt.
Widebanding
Corin. I need to work on extreme sunshine and a cat that has the sunshine and copper allele. Can't wait!
Copper - copcop
Sunshine - shsh
Feedback is always appreciated!!

What do carnelian carriers look like? I speculated on what solid carnelian carriers look like.
While I know what an agouti cat carrying carnelian looks like, I also had to speculate while making the base for self. I can't find any pictures of self cats carrying it.
Black mackerel tabby(carrying carnelian)
Black self(carrying carnelian) - speculative
Black mackerel charcoal(carrying carnelian) - speculative

Thank you!! I haven't found any agouti mochas, so I can only speculate. Here's what they'd look like using the visualizer!
Seal mackerel lynx bur-mocha point
Seal mackerel lynx sia-mocha point
Seal mackerel lynx mocha point

Visualizing Phenotypes: Pointing Preview
Hello!! The project continues. Tonight, I come with six separate levels of pointing!
Pointing is found on the albinism locus and is temperature-based. Alleles in order: C= Wild-type. This cat is fully pigmented. cb= The lowest contrast, phenotypically called a sepia point. Incompletely dominant with cs and cm. cs= The highest contrast, phenotypically called a color point. Incompletely dominant with cm. Cats carrying c might have depigmented leathers? If anyone can confirm this, please tell me! cm= Tend to be low contrast-- not quite like in sepia. Underlying tabby pattern is easy to see on selfs, phenotypically called a mocha point. c= Albinism. This cat is completely depigmented.
Now, to showcase the points!
Seal sepia point; cbcb
Seal mink point; cbcs
Seal bur-mocha point; cbcm
Seal color point; cscs
Seal sia-mocha point; cscm
Seal mocha point
My favorite by far is the sia-mocha!!
I am open to feedback! I want to make sure these are as accurate as possible.

What does russet look like?
Here we are, two russets! Specifically, a seal russet sepia point and a black russet silver mackerel tabby.
The Rafoej Cattery presents some very good examples of russet cats. I highly recommend checking out their Russet Mandalay and Russet Burmese cats for real life references!

What does white spotting of this look like? I know it is bicolor, harlequin, van, and "with white"? What is "with white"? Tuxedo? Birman Gloving?
"With white" is any spotting below bicolor! Birman Gloving is called mitted phenotypically.
The plan is for white spotting to be on a slider for different grades.
The cats who hold the with white phenotype go from grade 1 to grade 4:
Bicolor:
Harlequin. Note that the blue eyes on some of these images are a result of depigmenting and not all high white cats will have that:
Van:
Full white:
Mitted(likely going to make a couple more variants as mitted often comes with extra white streaks):
Salmiak:
Most of this was made back in July! I plan on going back and adding a few new types of white spotting. White is incredibly variable.
