i'd like to respond to the "fake sounding instruments" thing by saying that i took the instruments from the original PSX Final Fantasy 7's soundfont, so that's why they sound fake. but that's intentional! they're just more comfortable for me to work with, and give it more of a "retro" vibe, which i dig

one song with three versions that are for a roleplay we were worldbuilding with our friends. the gist is. the Surface is plagued with a bacteria that has infected humans and animals and so the remaining humans have gone to the Caves, Air (Mountains, Treetops, etc.) and Sea (on it and under it, since they're furries).

these versions are specifically for the Surface, and for different situations: Tremble is the Calm theme (nothing has happened yet, but there may be something lurking) Tremors is the Tense theme (you found someone/something, they're/it's not infected, talk/fight it) Earthquake is the Dangerous theme (an infected saw you, you can't bash their heads as they're really strong. so run!)
