Just looked at a blog where the header description said 'sometimes I reblog posts I like so I don't forget them'.
And I feel like that, right there, explains so much about how the site has changed in the last few months.
People now think reblogging is an unusual behaviour, rather than a default.
Tumblr newbies, please, for the love of baby Jesus, reblog the posts you like. That is the whole reason the site exists - for you to collect all your shiny fandom objects in a single space. Which you can organize to your heart's content. Or not organize at all, if that's your jam.
Our blogs are intended to be collections of posts, not collections of likes.

I'll always talk up internet radio stations because I don't think the average person is aware that they're free, can run in your browser (or in any program that can connect to them), work on your phone, run better than a youtube tab, and give you a much better selection of music than you could get from a general algorithmic playlist
(also lots of them have live shows which you can tune into for free)

Quick question about the last post: Is there like a specific amount of words for fics to be considered a long fic? Like how drabbles have 100 words, or is it just like ... a longer fic? If that makes sense
There's no specific definition for longfic that I'm aware of. My own personal approximate guide is:
shortfic = under 10K words. This includes things like drabbles and ficlets.
mediumfic or midfic = 10K-50K
longfic = 50K to 100K
epicfic = 100K+
I drew my own definitions from the publishing world where shortfic is like a short story, midfic would be a novella, longfic would be a novel, and epicfic would be... well, an epic.
A lot of people use the term longfic to indicate both long and epic length stories. It's rare that I hear the terms mediumfic or midfic at all, and it's usually a kind of tongue-in-cheek tone when I do. All of these definitions will vary from person to person and really drabble is the only one I hear consistent arguments about.
Feel free to share your own thoughts on longfic (and other types of fic) lengths in the notes!

Hello, have this thing that’s unfinished that popped in my head out of nowhere.
Bakugou x fem!reader
A bell of familiarity rings out in his mind when he hears your voice. He’s never met you, never seen you, has never spoken to you. But your voice is branded into his mind. He’s heard your laugh, your cries, your pouts, your anger, your joy, and the way your slight lisp shows itself when you pronounce the S in his name.
“You’ll know her when you see her.”
That’s what the old geezer told him. He’d thought it was stupidly cryptic but now, while peering at you from across the street, he gets it. Katsuki doesn’t know how to describe the way he knows it’s you he’s been looking for. He just does.
Katsuki crosses the street in a lengthy stride, nudging the people on the crowded streets out of the way. He reaches out for the glass door to the cafe you work at.
Behind the counter, you’re doodling on a napkin, your chin resting lazily on your palm. You’re humming, it’s a tune also familiar to Katsuki. He’s heard you sing it to yourself many times in his mind.
As he approaches the counter, you sigh to yourself, and without looking up you greet him in a docile customer friendly voice.
“Hello, welcome to –”
A gasp interrupts your sentence as you finally look up at him. Your eyes widen and your mouth hangs open in shock. It is immediately obvious despite not ever meeting him, you know who he is.
Surprisingly Katsuki only smirks, he leans on the counter to get close so only you can hear him.
“I been lookin’ for you,” he whispers.
You open and close your mouth a few times, trying to find the words but nothing comes out but a tiny squeak. Your brows pull together in confusion, you stare down at the little doodle on your napkin, and then back up to his eyes. You stare shoots right through him, he can’t explain why your eyes feel so captivating but then again, there’s a lot that can’t be explained right now.
Finally, you let out the breath you were holding, and tilt your head like a confused puppy. When you speak, it’s so quiet, Katsuki has to lean in further to hear you.
“H…how? How are you…? I mean….” you stammer and again Katsuki chuckles. He gets it, he’d probably feel the same way if the situation were reversed. Still he stands there patiently, waiting for you to get your thoughts together.
You take a very deep breath in and out to steady yourself, and then, with those same captivating eyes, you stare into his eyes and say something that should make a chill run up his spine, but instead only makes him feel more powerful.
“You’re…not supposed to be real.”
