the reason why feminism has become such a dirty word is laregly men hating women. look at tthe comments on any post on any platform of a woman. you will find men frothing at the mouth. look at any discussion of men. men are very clear that they believe women have ruined their lives and need to be put back in our place, violently. it may be surprising but in fact, many many men hate women with all their heart and believe we have deliberately and cruelly disenfranchised them for our own benefit and that we need to be legally forced to submit to them because we're growing too powerful. we're not going to be able to do anything to combat this if we keep pretending this is just frustrated lonely men who dont realize what theyre doing or some mysterious force causing misogyny to be more prevelant.

I'm lucky to have been able to write to my friend before he passes. To know that despite the fact he is weak he is still lucid and will get the message. To send a last message which is just of all the memories we had and how much I love him. I'm going to try and tell people that more often before it gets to this stage.

A mentor of mine is dying. Thankfully a friend was able to reach out to me to tell me so I could write without holding back how much he means to me. I got the message through to his daughter, who told me that she'd read the message to him when she was back from a Palestine demonstration. He'd sent her in his place because he was too sick to make it
