We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.

what are you naming your kids
This was one of the questions that the Junior High students asked Jin on our first day in the ministry. And it was the first time we shared to anyone about the names we have planned for our future children. Note: I am not pregnant.
Tobias Titus Thea Taya
“Why all T names?” ...T for Texas? Yikes. LOL.
And I’m glad that they were the first to hear this list of ours.
This past weekend was exciting and life-changing. Seeing Jin preach to a ministry that he is officially in charge of, getting to spend time with students that had welcomed us in the most loving way, and praising God for an opportunity like this... man, God is way too good to us.
One of the reasons that Jin and I realized that we have no plans for kids right now is because of the students we have in our lives right now. God’s given us the time and heart to be with and love on them. And right now, we want to pour out everything that we have for them as a couple.
God is good. So so good.

Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.

Today Jin and I had a last minute lunch and coffee with my in-laws. I realize that God doesn’t just feed me through the good times and things that look beautiful. The struggles, the battles... all these are blessings in disguise...
God is so good. And people [we] are so broken. But- God. Is. So. Good.

One of the strange things about God is that He will come in as far as we allow him. We can beg to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We can talk about it, but until we are willing to empty ourselves, we will never have the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God will fill as much of us as we allow Him to fill.

His grace supplies
1 Corinthians 15: 9-10
"For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me."

house·wife /ˈhous,wīf/
noun
a married woman whose main occupation is caring for her family, managing household affairs, and doing housework.
a small case for needles, thread, and other small sewing items.
It’s interesting how people a lot of laughed when I told them my dream to be a housewife. Or how I would hesitate, add a sarcastic laugh or shy away from sharing that. Being a housewife was supposed to be the “end” or the eventual role that I would take on in my life.
Then I when I met with my mentor not too long ago, she looked at me so seriously and said, “so if it’s your dream, and you’re already on the path to achieving that dream, why not pursue it?”
I know that being a housewife is no joke. Serious kudos to all the wives out there that take care of everything- literally cooking, cleaning, washing, drying then cooking again and cleaning again...all day. Then you get to those stay at home moms...but I’m not even close to knowing what that’s like so I’ll keep it at that.
As not easy as it is, I love it. I can definitely say that I don’t do half the things that many stay-at-home wives out there do. I have a husband that is home sporadically, allowing me to take my time on a lot of housework. I have understanding parents that always makes sure that we have something to eat. I have a brother who can care less if the laundry is hang drying in the hallway.
I took so much of it for granted: clean clothes, food, dust-free room, organized dishes and living spaces. Thank God for the understanding husband that looks past my imperfections.
It may not be easy, not be a breeze, nothing simple, but it’s my joy. Making sure my husband has coffee in the morning and clean clothes everyday...being a housewife (and technically a student) has been an incredible [short] journey this past month..
Too bad it only be my only role... job-hunting must begin.
My first and foremost job as a housewife (thank God) is a gift, joy, and blessing.
