“How does former mister number one tween star feel now that you’re so close to meeting the little one?” There was barely any conversation between himself and Chad, he found it difficult to relate to him, so instead he spent all his time at the Dylan Cooper household with his sister. “And how do you feel? Are you ready to take on motherhood?” He knew she was, the smile that curled at the corners proof of that. “Not to make you nervous, and not that you need to be. I mean, look how good you were with Parker when he was younger.” She was a natural, so he knew she had nothing to worry about.

It was like him to purchase anything for the niece he couldn’t wait to meet that had either dragons or cats on it. He wanted her to share his likes, to have something in common with a family other than the smallest things there were now. His lips curled wider than before at the offer he got probably way too excited about. “Do I want to feel the baby kick? Do I!” There was no containing the excitement he felt. It was all so new, there being a baby on the way in the family, and he wanted to join in on the experiences that Maddie got to almost every single day.

“Your scare tactics might work on Parker, but not me.” He was older than him, and wiser to know that Maddie was all about fun and games. Even if that fun and those games consisted of scaring the life out of the family. “Why are you like this? Seriously, who do you take after? Because our mother is in no way this threatening, and neither is our father.”

how does it feel to be loved by you?

it feels like an adventure

your laughter is like music, your eyes like city lights. you're so lighthearted and easy going that you make everyone around you have so much fun, even in the simplest moments. your heart is a place of amusement parks and fireworks and three a.m. giggles. people feel energized every time they see you, but as much as you love people, it can get pretty draining. remember to take breaks when you need them. you're more than just the comic relief, and you deserve to be just as happy as you make everyone else.

the moment he walked into the patio, mel couldn’t help but glance at him from time to time. she loved the geeky nerdy boys, she didn’t know why, but she did. the giddy feeling she soon felt was bubbling up in her stomach, especially when he walked up to order something, “hey, what can i get you cutie?”

It felt nice to be back from yet another tour, and while he was in California, he decided to try out the places he had never been before. The Patio being one of them. It was close by to where he was visiting his sister on set, and seemed like the perfect choice. But he didn’t notice the girl who stood within the caravan turned order station, at least not until they were finally face to face. “You think I’m cute?” His voice slightly high pitched as he asked, throat cleared once realisation hit. “Well I guess that depends, what’s good here?” His voice now deepened purposely as he leaned towards the little window that separated them.

❝           i   know     …              isn’t   it   crazy     ?          ❞                 it   was   years   ago   that   a   shared   choice   was   made   for   a   child   ,          but   not   yet   :          first   would   come   careers   ,          marriage   ,          a   home   ;          that   they   should   live   their   young   lives   before   bringing   that   chapter   to   a   close     .              yet   now   ,          with   a   hand   upon   her   stomach   that   has   swollen   ,          rounder   and   rounder   as   the   months   go   by   ,          it   does   not   feel   entirely   real     .                  ❝           i   can   hardly   believe   it     …              a   few   more   weeks   and   i’ll   be   having   a   little   girl     …              and   you’ll   be   her   uncle     .          ❞                 jade   eyes   sparkle   with   unshed   tears   as   she   pokes   at   brother’s   shoulder   ,          smile   wide   upon   her   mouth     .                  ❝           are   you   excited   to   meet   your   niece     ?          ❞

He never thought about the future, but apparently Liv and Chad did. They were the only couple he knew who planned everything out. But then he knew it was all down to his sister. She was prepared for everything, so it made sense for her to prepare their future together. He was just glad that her now husband was happy enough to plan along. “I can’t believe there’s a human being growing in there.” It was interesting to him how the human anatomy worked. But then again he was the guy everyone called a nerd. “Just call me Uncle Joey, fun Uncle Joey.” Because between him and Parker, and full offence to their little brother, he would be the fun Uncle out of the two. “Better yet, she can call me Funcle Joey.” It excited him to no end, the thought of being an Uncle for the first time. “Are you kidding? I’m beyond excited, I can’t wait to teach her all about dragons and share my love of cat t-shirts with her.”
