Ya know, sometimes I see Sonic AUs where it's like "SA2 gone wrong/Ark crashes into the planet" and think "Ya know, I really should do my own take on this..."

Thinking about post-main plot BA Sonic Eclipse version and how he is after being un-brainwashed.

Getting the obvious out of the way is that he is EXTREMELY traumatized. He killed people after all. And even though they WERE bad people, not only does it go against his morals but they also could've been reformed... and now they'll never get that chance because they were eaten. Eaten by both the Dark Arms AND him. Needless to say he feels disgusted with himself. And that's just the worst of it.

Sonic is now almost completely mute (he'll mutter "sorry" on rare occasions) and he can't even sign because he's got 4 fingers. If he wanted to communicate he'd have to resort to writing or typing on some device but even then he mostly refuses to out of shame. And also due to that shame, he constantly stays inside now. Running around now only serves as another reminder (his entire body is a reminder itself) of what he's done. He's a total shut-in and the only person he's even remotely okay being around is Tails. As for everybody else... not so much. Especially Shadow.

You see, despite everything, he still can't help but feel bad for and lowkey miss Eclipse and the Dark Arms. They were genuinely nice and it's not their fault that their genes required them to eat people. And since Shadow killed them he has very mixed feeling on Shadow. What especially hurts about this is that this AU is meant to be Sonadow. A very tragic Sonadow but Sonadow nonetheless...

He also struggles with doors now, though not in the way you might be thinking. It's actually that he constantly shuts doors on his tail. You see, back at the Dark Arm's base, there weren't any doors. And when he'd go inside somewhere to kill somebody he didn't bother shutting any doors behind himself. But now he stays at Tails' workshop all the time and that has doors so yeah, new problem!

I know I haven't been very active as of late but I am still alive! Though I am currently in mourning as of like 3 days ago when the bird (TUGB BN) who lived in my room died.

And to TUGB, even though you'll never see this, and even if you could you wouldn't understand, I loved you so much baby. Despite being a nuisance and biting me and my mom's fingers you were so cute and loved. It was silly when you bathed and got wet, and you were already so very silly. Sometimes when my mom pointed at you, you'd make these silly pitiful noises for no understandable reason. You brought so much life into my room that I hadn't even realized until you were gone. A light in the gloomy darkness. I'm so sorry I couldn't do more when you got sick. I'll miss you forever and ever. My room will never be the same without you.

The rare and elusive Mermaid Spindrift art!

Imagine you fall off your ship in the middle of a storm and are expecting one of two things: You either die or end up stranded... but when you wake up you find out about the super secret third option of ending up a mermaid.

Also yes I did make like 2 design changes to Spindrift/Rupture that have been revealed via this drawing.

Sonic and Ultra Necrozma fusion

So after playing a bunch of Pokemon Ultra Moon recently, I was feeling quite inspired and decided to finally finish an attempt at drawing this fusion.

So happy with how this came out tbh! Especially the face! And because I love how much this came out, here's a completely unpolished drawing under the cut as some sort of proof that I didn't just trace a bunch of stuff I guess:

Obviously there were some changes made here and there to make it look slightly better since this drawing IS meant to be the rough draft to help me picture what I want, but I completely eyeballed all the details from a few Ultra Necrozma refs! :D

So um... *awkward cough* I uh noticed something. About my most recent Spindrift drawing of his new form and uh... While drawing earlier today, using my post of him as a ref, I noticed something. I might've, um, forgot a design detail? ._.

A-Anyways I've went and rectified this under the cut:

I forgot his back's webbing if it's not immediately obvious. ;-;

Second thing's second, design and general notes! There's not much but I feel a need to point them out anyways.

Because he's so big now, he's unable to wear his stolen clothes from before.

And also because he's so big now, his scars from before are significantly smaller because why would the scars get bigger??

After the whole ordeal with him growing bigger the effects of the Paradox Prism Shard do begin to subside but while he does get smaller he doesn't completely return to normal. He's about half the size that he was when he was totally juiced up on Prism energy.

He's extremely embarrassed afterwards with the way he kinda lost control of himself even if everyone is totally understanding.

Also after regaining control he does fumble with his new set of arms. He used them instinctually during his... outburst... but now that he's no longer in a frenzy he's totally weirded out and clumsy with them.

Behold, the ref for Spindrift's Sea Monster Siren form! (there's lore reasons for this that I recently came up with so stick with me)

First things first, explaining the lore behind this:

So Spindrift, having very recently been reunited with his friends in what would take place in Season 2, sees them being attacked by the Chaos Council. Needless to say this enrages him. He JUST got his friends back and these damned humans could end up killing them along with their contraptions! But he's not strong enough... He may have his powerful voice but it doesn't help much with his size. He can only focus on 1 enemy. It's not enough. HE'S not enough.

Then in a surprising twist of events, the nearby Paradox Prism Shard responds to his internal plea. Think of it like if Sonic drew power from a nearby Chaos Emerald in a tough spot. He's not invincible by any means but he IS way more powerful. He can grab enemies out of the air and his voice attack has WAY more range. But thanks to his trauma, he goes completely overkill and is super destructive.

Everything works out in the end of course, but it's a whole ordeal.
