PRE Andalusian Dressage Horse, 6 years from PRE Dressage Horses on Vimeo.
Grey dressage PRE with top origins, born 2014, 166 cm. Very calm and centered character, no stallion behaviour, much energy under saddle and very good gaits. For an experienced rider we believe this can be a fantastic horse, that could potentially compete up to Grand Prix.

THE WALK - Check out our Fer Bulería offspring for that long, relaxed walk that is often lacking in PRE Andalusian dressage horses. This is Atila Real, son of Fer Bulería and from a famous Grand Prix line on the mother side,

‪Exciting day as one of Spain’s Olympic riders came to view this PSG/GP prospect, a 171 cm / 17hh PRE dressage horse of prestigious origins, together with a very lovely British lady and her husband. This PRE stallion has lots of power but still easy to ride for an experienced amateur dressage rider.‬ He is also approved for breeding. Photo by CavalReal, All Rights Reserved.

We love this clip presenting "Horse of Kings, Thief of Hearts" a documentary by Dutch movie maker Mario Dirkx expresses some of the truly unique characteristics and romance of the purebred Spanish horse / Pura Raza Española (PRE), in some countries called the Andalusian horse because of its roots in Andalusia, Southern Spain.
It was made some years back, but it is well worth seeing again: Horse of Kings, Thief of Hearts, the Carthusian Horse
PS. If you look in the family tree of a PRE / Andalusian horse, in search of "Carthusian" (Cartujano) ancestors you might not find any. The name refers to the Andalusian monastery "La Carjuja". Look instead for brands / bloodlines such as these: Bocado, Terry, Romero Benitez, which are all pure Carthusian. DS

PRE Dressage Horse Training in Spain
PRE Andalusian mare Kanaka VG, granddaughter of Spanish Grand Champion Fer Bulería, is a talented dressage prospect that debuted last month in FEI dressage in Spain. Here you can see her training at home.
A tall, healthy and strong PRE Andalusian mare with excellent movements, Kanaka VG is a good example of the new generation of PRE sport horses that are now starting to come out of Spain.
Facts: Kanaka VG (Marsical XLIX x Fiaca VG) Yeguada Velasco Gonzales 2013.
Breed: Purebred Spanish Horse / Pura Raza Española (PRE) / Andalusian

PRE Dressage Breeding
Another good example of Fer Bulería offspring that we really like is the super functional PRE stallion Ambicioso VG from Yeguada Velasco Gonzales, born 2009. Very beautiful, of true Spanish type, exceptional movements and with tremendous energy, he has great Prix St George / Grand Prix potential.
Here are some photos from a training session a while back, while preparing for a competition. For more photos from this session, go here.

In this video you can see PRE stallion Veterano VI competing in a Prix St George test. Veterano IV is a very comfortable, generous and easy to ride Grand Prix dressage horse of 174 cm / 17.1hh and Bohorquez origins.
Although he is a stud stallion, Veterano’s character is kind and gentle, something that also expresses itself as a very generous attitude towards the rider. Working in the arena, he is very easy and comfortable to sit, including in the extended trot. Veterano VI is the father of our gorgeous PRE filly Electra Real (Veterano VI x Gramola, CavalReal 2018)
Breed: PRE Andalusian (Pura Raza Española)

In my experience, CavalReal is the best option to see PRE Andalusian dressage horses and visit PRE Andalusian horse breeders in Spain. During our travel, I visited the best equestrian centres and saw some gorgeous purebred Spanish horses! I ended up buying one of them, and he is now competing in dressage back home. I want to thank the CavalReal team for helping us in such a kind and generous way, all the way from making the deal until the horse boarded the transport.

I had a wonderful time with CavalReal riding the most beautiful PRE horses in amazing surroundings in the Andalusian countryside. I received such a warm welcome from the CavalReal team and the quality of the horses was superb... I will definitely come back soon!

In my opinion you want to breed with Fer Bulería first because of his bloodline, full of famous and fantastic brothers and sisters, and because Fer Bulería himself is one of the most merited stallions in all of Spain. Second, his breeder Mr. Ferrero was interested in buying him back to use as stud stallion and also Yeguada Centurion asked to buy him for the same reason, and expert breeders like Rafael Camacho has bought semen from him, and these people are not silly. But third, and most importantly, you want to breed with Fer Bulería because he is one of the most complete stallions available to PRE breeders today.

I met Fer Bulería for the first time in one of the clinics I teach and have also been able to follow its evolution in recent years. After having heard about him on numerous occasions because of his successful competition record in morphological competitions, upon seeing him in real life I was struck not only by the spectacular movements, but also by his athletic capacity, which is easily visible especially in his talent for the passage and piaffe. I always thought Fer Bulería is one of the best PRE I have ever seen.

Each day, every time in the saddle I was pleasantly surprised for his positive volition and powerful mechanics, which combined with his balanced character makes Fer Buleria a horse who is capable of transmitting feelings difficult to forget to his rider! Fer Buleria is an outstanding PRE.
