· · · Upon closer inspection, the material on their eye was the same moss-like substance stone saw outside. It glowed much fainter, though, and didn't respond to noise.

· · · There's no doubt that Stone knows the caves it wanders like the back of it's own hand. As such, it must be rather surprised when it wanders into a cavern that it has never seen before. A faintly glowing, moss–like substance covers large swathes of the ceiling, walls, and floor of the cave.

· · · Indeed, the new entity certainly wasn't a mob. In fact, it was a player. A rather small one, at that. They could not have been older than ten. They held their dimly lit torch aloft, clearly frightened by the other's presence. They looked him up and down, like they had never seen another player before. Unbeknownst to ferris; they hadn't.

· · · In their head, they were going down the list of what type of mob this newcomer could be. Didn't look anything like a bat, had flesh, so it couldn't be a skeleton, far too large to be an baby mob of any variety, and while it's face did somewhat resemble a zombie's, it looked far too alive to be one.

· · · Well, whatever this mob was, it couldn't be out here, it wasn't safe. So, they quietly gestured the other to follow them, before turning and beginning to go in the direction of their hideout.

Ferris didn’t usually leave the prison, but this was a special case. They needed materials, and he wouldn’t send one of his employees somewhere so dangerous, not when he could do it himself. Besides, he was quite good at surviving, and he had been feeling a little… cooped up.

It batted at the paper, tilting its head back and forth. What was? Was markings? Trying to show creature? Or a place for food? He didn’t know what it looked like, but he knew he hadn’t seen it before. “Rrrr..?”

· · · The Deep Dark was quiet. Which made sense, considering that anything that made a noise near a screecher was essentially marked for death. It was almost like even mobs— which were otherwise just mindless killing machines— knew better than to approach the skulk, and anywhere it spread, lest they awake the Warden.

· · · Whisper knew how to be quiet, too. It was a skill they had to learn if they wanted a shot of ever stepping outside their woolen home. Of course, even that was a risk. One wrong move and they could catch the attention of the beast that slumbered here; it would be their last mistake. Or so they thought.

· · · Enough rambling, though. It's only a matter of time before Ferris and the child eventually cross paths. They're getting ever closer to each other, both sneaking through the crumbling walls of the Ancient City.

It cheeped softly and promptly went about exploring the soft cave. So many things! It tilted its head at the carrots and potatoes, batting at them curiously. Plants? No eat him plants? No threat!

When Whisper looked back it was climbing the tree. Sit on branch and loaf. Shaped boye.

· · · After a small amount of time, Whisper found the object they were looking for; a Notebook. They grabbed it, closing the chest and looking towards the bed. They blinked confusedly when they couldn't see the creature. Quickly, their eyes darted to the tree. Ah. That explained it.

· · · Whisper opened the book, writing something down. After a moment, they tapped their foot on the ground to get the creature's attention, then turned the book around to show it. On the page, a question was written: “What are you?”

It blinked at them and bapped their hand with its head again. Startle? Not threat! Bap friend.

He tried to climb up the arm when they took his hand, used to being carried and sitting on shoulders. It was usually too small for its hand to be held when people walked.

· · · Whisper smiled slightly at the bap. They blinked as he scaled their arm, but let him do it nonetheless. As long as he didn't fall, then... They'd both be fine. It wasn't too long until they slipped into a doorway, and into halls lined top to bottom with wool. Even if some noise could escape, they seemed to relax a lot more here. Eventually, near the middle of the hall, they opened a door and went though it.

· · · The room on the other side seemed to contain just about all of the basic necessities for survival. A farm for both food and a small amount of wood, a bed, a chest, and a two–by–two hole of water. They placed the peculiar mob on their bed, patting it on the head, before turning to the chest. They opened it, rummaging through it's contents for something.

It crawled closer and nuzzled their hand, wiping at its eyes. Was so scary here. Person not scary anymore though. Person was nice.

· · · Admittedly, Whisper did flinch upon being nuzzled like that. It wasn't like the touch was bad, it was nice! They just weren't expecting it, they supposed. Well, that wasn't the point now. Now, Whisper had to get both themself and the strange mob to their home.

· · · They slowly moved their hand from the creature's face and moved down to its hand, gently getting a hold of it. Then, they gestured the other being to follow. Whisper stood up and began slowly leading the mob back home. To safety.

It sniffled quietly and stopped moving back. N-not… danger? It took a single step forwards, sniffing them. Didn’t smell like predator…

· · · As the absolutely tiny creature approached, Whisper gave the other a sympathetic look, not making any sudden movements. They hadn't seen anything but a bat be so small before. The poor thing looked terrified, too. Granted, that was a suitable reaction to being outside of a woolen hideout. Still, they hadn't seen something emote like that before— other than themself. It left them wondering what this really was.

Its eyes widened and it slowly backed up. Who.. what was! Big creature! Scary!! Everything was scary here. It did not like!! He all but flattened himself to the ground, looking small and scared and sad.

· · · The child carefully snuck through the cave. They hated going out of their small home unnecessarily, but they just felt so... Trapped. They needed to walk around. Feel a texture that wasn't just wool. So imagine their surprise, when they come across another being.

· · · Quickly, they scanned its features. Wingless and too large to be a bat, too small to be a skeleton or zombie. Couldn't even be one of their smaller variants, it's skin was too different. They backed up, bringing their free hand up to put a finger over their mouth, a quiet ‘shushing’ motion.
