Black Twitter

Black twitter has grown in our society not only as a place for African Americans to share their views and on topics, issues, etc. But it has also become a place where slang and trends have become mainstream and are now becoming incorporated into news stations. The downside to this however is corporations are stealing black culture from ”black twitter” and making a profit off of the African American culture without hiring a diverse staff where this content actually generates from. Outside of black twitter people basically couldn’t get news about certain communities. This includes the black LGBTQ Community, black feminism groups, etc. Black twitter has accepted a dominant and important role in today’s media and culture.
