y'all it's about to get really fucking humid and hot
#Oh how the turntables#Good luck guys#The humidity chart has me reeling as a Scot where 65+% humidity is fairly average#I’ve been waiting all year for the humidity to drop below 60 to spray paint and I’ll be lucky if it happens at all at this rate#Staying hydrated will be harder much harder#Sip constantly#If you have and can run a dehumidifier it can help

honestly, especially in the current state of the world, you all have GOT to kill whatever puritanical voice inside your head keeps insisting that if something is erotic it has no social, artistic, or intellectual merit.
stop acting as if someone can’t enjoy both erotica and literary fiction or classics. it’s not some dichotomy.
stop acting as if erotic art can’t be poignant and meaningful. and that includes all erotic art - not just fine art.
stop insisting that sex scenes or erotic material ruin movies and shows just because you, personally, get icked out watching it.
no, not all erotic art is high art, and not all erotic art is meant to invoke deep intellectual discussion - but insisting that makes erotic art valueless, a disservice to intellectualism, or whatever else - does nothing but add fuel to a fire built on conservative ideology.

It's impressive how Neil Gaiman vanished from the internet. Wish Rowling would do the same.

#Tiny springs for a guitar bridge#I think I could explain a spring#when were springs invented???#I could explain the evolution of musical instruments I don’t think I would HAVE to to Keep My Springs#Okay so “spring technology” has existed since the birth of the bow and arrow but a coiled metal spring wasn’t in use until the 15th century#So when is my medieval peasant from?#man early medieval peasants around the 5th century I am struggling to explain a spring and it’s use#I have slightly more hope that a late medieval peasant 15th century may have seen technology like clocks ect that may help#With their general Spring Knowledge#if they asked me why a musical instrument needs such tiny springs I think I could also explain that#they’re needed to move the end point of the strings so it sounds correct at every position#If they had seen a lute or oud then there’s more hope of explaining all of this#not me holding my disassembled electric guitar in front of a (hopefully late) medieval peasant#“it’s like a lute if you made a lute out of a solid block of wood and powered it with lightning”

A bill has been passed granting Gaelic and Scots official status in Scotland. While symbolic in nature, the goal here is to provide support for language education.

#I know enough for hospitality#which started just with being able to check back with non speaking tables (I worked in a carvery place that was popular for reasons unknown#enough originally to ask “okay?” Or “drinks?” Or “anything else”#Then in another job I worked bar with a guy that taught BSL and he gave me a little bit more to work with#I keep meaning to take more classes bc it feels good and correct to be able to give people the same level of service and connection

The largest mass shooting in American history was a hate crime against gay people. Don’t ever forget that.
#I will never forget this#I’ll never forget going to college the next day and one of the first gay people I’d ever known happened to be on the bus#We had went to high school together and clocked each other back then#And that day we stood on the bus and with barely a hello opened up and cried on the bus about how distraught and scared we were#Even though we lived in a gun free country on the other side of the world#I’m really glad he was on that bus that day
