i wish there was a literal step by step manual for forming relationships like. at the third conversation, reveal a level 2 personal fact and gauge reaction. if asked follow up question, proceed. if given single word response, retreat and try again with a second round of level 1 personal facts and questions. [table: examples of level 1 topics: what is a dream they had recently? how is their week going? what are they looking forward to in the next week?] if their reply is less than 2 sentences long, pull back and reevaluate reciprocity. do not deploy any level 3 conversation topics untill at least one inside joke has been developed.
