Cecilia had carried on her tradition of handing out baked goods on holidays even in King and, as such, her bag today was filled with cookies of all sorts for people of different tastes and needs. It was her way of keeping in touch with her habits back in Spain so, when she ran into someone, she rummaged through her bag and held out a neatly wrapped cookie,
“Here you go, it’s a cinnamon crunch cookie. Happy Valentine’s day” She said before thoughtfully adding “If you’re allergic or something you can pick out something else” There was an almost smile on her lips which was as amiable as she might get with strangers

Cecilia gave a nostalgic smile as she nodded her head, blue eyes slightly faraway as she thought of her youngest siblings. They weren’t her complete blood sisters but, for the life of her, Cecilia didn’t care. She adored them with all that she was and, just thinking of them took her back,
“Yeah... the two of them always got up to all sorts of trouble but it was nice. King’s pretty far away from Spain but... I do get to see them from time to time so it’s not all bad”
“Oh?” Poppy raised an eyebrow, curious now. “Do you miss your sibling- being away at school?”

“Oh I can definitely vouch for the almond pancakes” Cecilia smiled amiably at the other as she motioned for the waitress to come over to take Maddie’s order “Try have it with some whipped cream and blueberries; it’s one of my personal favorites over here so far”
Maddie couldn’t help but smirk a little at the dog’s pleading eyes. He was such a bottomless pit when it came to food, and was spoiled by herself and Gabe feeding him things they shouldn’t. “He’s an adorable little shit..” She agreed, before taking the menu from the waitress and smiling her thanks. “I’m Madeline Lambert, but Maddie will do.” Opening the menu, Maddie chewed on the inside of her lip as she considered the options. “Ooh, they have almond milk pancakes.”

“You’re not too bad with your Spanish pronunciations” Cecilia laughed as she motioned for the other to follow as she got up, beginning to walk towards her dorm “Come on then, let’s go get us some burritos”
“Well then, chica..” Mia trailed off after using the word she heard from the other girls lips earlier. “Lead the way to wherever these delicious burritos will be made. I am quite eager to give my opinion.”

“Ah... far more interesting a story anyways” She laughed, pushing herself off of the ground as she brushed off the snow from her clothes and adjusted her jacket so that it actually did something to keep the cold from getting to her “Nice meeting you, I’m Cecilia Ortiz. Great to know I’m not the only person going and lying down in the snow”
“More like came out into the snow in pajamas, because I was high and thought I was Supergirl.” She chewed at her bottom lip in embarrassment. It was stupid, what she had done, but that much snow that close to the beach? It was rare, and Lucy wanted to enjoy it while she could, “Oh, I agree. It does look nice, but she’s a cold mistress when it comes to dishing out sickness.”

Cecilia couldn’t help but laugh as she straightened her shirt and gave the other a little smile that showed that it was completely alright,
“Thanks, I’d like to think so too. I’m Cecilia Ortiz, by the way” She smiled “Anyways, I was just heading out. Do you need anything?”
Cheeks still flushing, she bit her lip. “Yeah. I suppose so.. I- I’m sorry again. I don’t just walk in on people changing..” She shifted her weight anxiously. “Um. Your bra is really pretty?” She offered, not sure what else to say.

[ Cecilia had to laugh at that putting on a mock disappointed expression, a change from her usual haughty fashion ] Too bad... Either ways, you’re an interesting character
Always. Don’t worry, you’re not special or anything. Consent implied. I don’t give a shit, I’m not in the business of suing over petty things like that.

“Not better than everyone just most people chica” Cecilia smirked, her tone as usually snappy and sarcastic as it always was despite knowing how the blonde girl in front of her wanted to poke some fun at her. Of course she knew what the other was up to; that was Cecilia’s job right there “I’m not into materialistic things so the usual sex, drugs and fancy things lose their charm on me. Let’s just say, when I call in a favor you’ll know”
Tumblr media
“ Are we still talking about me, here? And for someone who claims to be great judge of character, you sound a little bias to me. Does that mean you think you’re better than everyone else in here? “ Sammie recoiled, although she kept her tone light, she wasn’t offended or anything, but she felt like pushing the buttons a little, just for fun. “ What do you want? A new car? Sure, I’ll have it delivered tomorrow, but if you want it customized, it’ll take a few weeks for that. “

“Probably. Unless you’re going to manage to make a cake spontaneously combust in which case I might have to change my mind about that offer” Cecilia said with a laugh, pursing her lips in thought at Elle’s question “Half an hour and you’ll be good. That’s the thing about ingesting it- it takes longer but it’s also better”
Pot Brownies and Cosmos
Nodding slightly, Elle smiled and shrugged. “I wish you luck. I am a fast learner though. So maybe it actually won’t be as bad as it is in my head.” She giggled and sipped her drink, finishing off a brownie before picking up another one. “How strong are these things?”

“Most people are also idiots which is why they’ll believe just about anything” Cecilia pointed out coolly as she inclined her head at the others’ words “Well hey, shitty family is shitty family and, if you ever decided to throw a pity party over how shitty yours is, I wouldn’t be making any snap judgments”
Tumblr media
“Most people see some old buildings and think they’re in a fairytale, that’s how this place gets away with it, even if it’s far from that.” Charlotte knew it was easy to be swept up in this world, even if most of it was crap. “Agreed, I feel like I got lucky really, my parents may be shitty but my family is pretty simple otherwise.”

As Cecilia pulled over her other shirt over her head and casually discarded of her other in her bag, she found the others’ reaction slightly amusing as she shrugged,
“It’s fine” She shrugged “I’d say nice meeting you but I suppose the circumstances could be better”
Eyes wide, Ruby stared. She had not been expecting this when she’d walked into the room. Cheeks flushing deeply, she finally averted her eyes. “Oh gosh, I’m so so sorry. I didn’t mean..”

Someone’s got a nice bite to their words but, duly noted. If you ever read it in a book I’m taking this as consent to avoid a lawsuit and plagiarism
I didn’t buy a crate, it was a joke. Way to ruin it. I don’t mind, use it at your will.

“I could understand being overprotective. I don’t have kids but I do have two younger sisters- the youngest of them being only a year older than this darling here” Cecilia smiled sweetly
“She is very sweet.” She agreed, smiling at her daughter brightly and watching her face light up. “She has a very over protective mommy though, and I think she picks up on that vibe, and it makes her clingy.”

Cecilia motioned for the nice waitress at the cafe to bring over another menu as the brunette in front of her took a seat and secured the little dog’s leash to the leg of the table the two were sat at as the puppy obediently sat down but kept shooting Cecilia a pleading look as she laughed a little,
“He really is adorable...” She mused before turning her eyes back to her new companion “I don’t believe we’ve officially met. I’m Cecilia Ortiz- feel free to order whatever you want”
“Oh no, he won’t get sick, just turn into a fatty.” She gave the dog an affectionate scratch behind the ear, clearly meaning no harm behind the fatty comment. Considering her offer, she shrugged. “You know what, I could go for some food right about now.” Bending down, she secured Ringo’s leash to the table leg, giving him enough leash to move but not so much he could bug people, before taking a seat.

The shaking ladder sent a loud, rattling noise echoing through the usually quiet section of the library and Cecilia sighed as she looked up at the other clinging on for dear life, his jaw clenched shut as he asked for her assistance and she pursed her lips together in thought for a bit before letting out a sigh as if the whole thought process was too tiresome to bear,
“Alright but only because you’re interrupting my reading time otherwise” She said, steadying the ladder as her blue eyes glanced up at him with her coolly nonchalant expression which just seemed to say she couldn’t care less “You really know how to pick ‘em don’t you? Come on then, hurry up and get down before you fall and take me down with you too” Cecilia said, her voice laced with sarcasm despite her words not holding the slightest bit of sarcasm to them. It was just her way really, being sarcastic and it made her way into her words.
Looking up at the other as she let herself be surprisingly patient, Cecilia took note of how he seemed at least a good two years older than her with classical good looks in a way that suggested he was probably a rich boy- surprise, surprise- living it up at King. How absolutely boring. Nowadays it was almost a physical pain to deal with all the pretentious rich kids who were living off of their parents’ money and their hefty trust funds and she was just waiting for the other to get lost quickly with his book so she could get back to her reading time and get some help. She had to admit though, scaring him and seeing the ladder shake in response to the sudden fright she’d given him had been something comical really.
You and Me || Cecilia & Tyson
Tyson’s days seemed to be resumed in the following: class, read, class, study, grab something quick to eat, sleep an hour, drink three shots of expresso, get drunk, have sex, study, go to class - not in that particular order. When he had enrolled himself into the pre-med program, the thought of having to study all the time had not really crossed his mind, so he was still adjusting to the way of life he had chosen, even after three years of it. He didn’t complain about pre-med though, finding the load of work he was given an escape from the usual social climbing, money talking, designer dressed students that seemed to flock the university.
Still, he made a bigger effort to avoid speaking to a lot of people during the day, spending most of his free time locked away in his room, studying. Tyson liked to think that he wasn’t really avoiding people but making the most of his career, having a lot of homework just gave him the perfect excuse to not socialize with anyone, and that was fine with him. He went out with his closest friends from time to time, but that was about it when it came to contacting human beings.
Today was different though. He had been assigned to research a very particular case that could only be found in an old and heavy volume located in the most obscure part of the library, the corner no one ever bothered to go to. Instead of asking the librarian for help, Tyson had figured she was very old and didn’t need the extra load on her shoulders, he decided to go and search for the book himself.
Grabbing the ladder, Tyson had made a show of taking the first few steps and reading the titles of the books in front of him. He didn’t find the piece of literature he was looking for until he was almost at the top of the ladder, and the thing had started shaking horribly under his weight. Unable to reach it, Tyson had stretched as far as he could go, guessing that the ladder would betray him and fall with him on top if he tried to go any further. About to give up, someone spoke behind him, scaring the living crap out of him and making the ladder shake even worse than before.
“I could really use some help here,” He said, teeth clenched as he held onto the ladder for dear life. “Do you mind?”

You and Me || Cecilia & Tyson
Cecilia had always liked roaming around King during her free time. The various people she ran into in various situations kept her entertained and it was a good way to pass the time but the library was always her favorite. No matter the time, when Cecilia wanted some reprieve from the endless crowds of children of rich socialites, business tycoons and so on, it was the library where she ended up. Despite how much she might have disliked the pretentious nature of King University, she had to admit, if it weren’t for that very factor, she wouldn’t have had the chance to drop by the Bennington Donelly Library and find solace within it’s endless mahogany shelves of books and finely carpeted floors.
The young writer always loved it and, that particular day was when she’d decided to get some peace of mind, pushing open the door of the library as she greeted the librarian with a friendly smile- which was quite rare for Cecilia but she liked the kindly old woman who was always so sweet and considerate to her- and went to her usual corner of the library where no one else tended to go. The reason of that being that it was nicely camouflaged and contained all the older, thicker books from around the 18th and 19th centuries however today was a vastly different situation as, when Cecilia reached her usual spot, she found someone borrowing the rather flimsy looking ladder to reach up to the higher shelves where they had even older volumes, the ladder shaking as they leaned up onto the tips of their toes, straining to get a particular volume.
“Firstly, you’re going to fall if you keep that up” She said, moving out of the way just in case he did “And secondly, you’re in my space”
