BUZ KOHAN. FOR YOUR FAITH. BY YOUR FAITH.
BUZ KOHAN *, a friend of Michael Jackson, a producer, writer and composer, born in New York in 1933. Among the many TV programs and special has occurred, are “Going back to Indiana”, “Jacksons Family Honor,” “One Night Only” (Michael Jackson failed performance in 1995, New York), “Motown 25” “You Were There” Sammy Davis Jr. 60th Anniversary Celebration, 1990, “Gone too Soon”, The 52nd Presidential Inaugural Gala, 1993 …
This poem I wrote for Michael back in 2004 when he was going through a very difficult time. I sent it and a day or two later, a messenger knocked on my door to give me a big bag of gifts. I was about to sign the shipping when he said there was more. He returned with a large metal object that appeared to be chirping. I thought, how nice, He have sent one of those mechanical birds, but when I uncapped the cloth that covered it, I realized that there were not mechanical birds, but two beautiful white doves or pigeons, and were very much alive.
Together the birds came a lovely and heartfelt note thanking the poem that I wrote to Michael and telling me that he had been touched by it. Also of note, had a book on exotic birds and bird seed for a year.
I took the box with the birds into the yard and called them “Billie Jean” and “Bad."
One night, an animal that roamed the house , attacked the Bad, and I thought, being so close soon, surely, Billie Jean, died with a broken heart. As a tribute to his indomitable spirit, Billie Jean chirping continues five years later. Keep on singing, sweet bird.
Sadly, Michael never had the opportunity to sit with me to put music to the poem, and just kept it in my files so far, I hope you can send an inspirational message to the world … something that Michael has always tried to do with their music, charity, and his life. Michael, my friend, gone too soon, but its light will never fade.
Rest easy, dear soul. "Buzzie Wuzzie” (This is how Michael always called me)
The Poem
RESTORATION
Big storm coming danger increasing wind blowing from everywhere The air filled with flying objects There is no consolation to hide No Fury continues Shaking, breaking, Taking Charge, Taking Control swirling, whirling around me Trying to destroy my soul. ’s all so pointless I am helpless Caught in the frenzy whipped and shaken pushed and shoved and beaten Shattered When all is chaos all is lost. Cruelty pervasive resistance fades I am alone, the wind blows and knocks wind, you win, I surrender now I disgraced I face defeat. Then, out in the distance comes a tiny beam of light more radiant Growing Growing brighter Shining through the night without end. In a tiny ray of sun comes a shining light Amber reaching all long look at her. Growing up and growing with the sunlight They voices talking loudly harder Talking to my pain and my distress Letting healing started now. Let the truth Emerge before us all lies Let Drowned in shame Let the storm finally disperse to clean air and clear my name. You, my friends, you you hold me when I am attacked are defending Restauráis my faith and my courage When the mirror is broken I envolvéis With your passion when you guide my steps I am unsure For your love I am embraced by the sunlight again I feel safe. For your faith, this promise I will fail you not cheer, I swear No disaster can destroy long as you know How much you worry me. As you know That your love is there.

Interview With Wyclef Jean (October 2003)
SB: What was it like working with Michael Jackson?
WJ: He’s cool with us. We got no beef with Mike. You mean, is he weird or something?
SB: No, I mean, is he the King of Pop?
WJ: Yeah. Without no doubt. He’s definitely the King of Pop. People can talk about Michael Jackson as much as they want. But the minute Michael Jackson actually shows up and you see it’s him, you’re just like, “Oh shit, that’s Michael Jackson!” You forget all that bullshit you said about him.
SB: So what is he like in the studio?
WJ: He cool, he laid back. He talks to us. What I picked up on Michael Jackson - because I study people when I watch them - the way that he counts his rhythm with his feet and his neck at the same time is crazy.
SB: What do you mean?
WJ: Well, you know you count with your feet - 1,2,3,4 - and that’s one rhythm and then his neck is going in another rhythm. So he’s hearing multiple things at once. And I don’t know anybody who does that. Everyone usually moves in one pace.

mjgirl21:
Michael Jackson: Hurt by the World
” I know the creator will go, but his work survives.”
We all know how extraordinary, legendary and almost supernatural Michael Jackson was with dance moves, a style that nobody else could mimic, much less reinvent. Jackson was not trained in dance or singing, yet has changed pop culture forever. That is God sent. That is the expression of a man who wanted to transcend death by attaching his personality to his art, which will then live forever. He said in his last interview: “… to escape death I attempt to bind my soul to my work. ” As a true icon and legend he has forever engraved his legacy in the history books as the greatest performer ever. But, what we did not know about Michael Jackson or care to understand, was that he was deeply hurt by the world. He lived a very isolated and lonely life despite outside appearances. His soul struggled daily to overcome the pain that was constant throughout his life in one form or another. First, as a child with no childhood at all, then as a grown up attacked by the public and media equally, calling him “Wacko Jacko” and many other derogatory adjectives. As was later proved, he was irrevocably broken by the false child molestation accusations, his spirit and mental state ruined forever. There seemed to have been no understanding that he only meant to do good and support those who were just as unfortunate as he was when a child. He not only deeply identified with the need for love in these children, but also wanted to “repair” the missing elements in his own soul by giving. A beautiful way to support the world and those in need. Yet, he was grossly misunderstood and obviously taken advantage of. Jackson ended up paying huge amounts of money just to rid himself of yet another painful incident, which these lawsuits exploited. The events in his life should shed a light on the less evolved side of human nature: greed, speculation and underhandedness from those who attach themselves to successful and unsuspecting kindred spirits only to advance themselves by twisting the truth any which way their interest dictates. Jackson is not the only victim to such behavior in polite society by those with a lesser God. This is a phenomenon that happens not only in Hollywood but most everywhere successful people try to lend a helping hand. And, then comes the media with its sensationalism. The combination of the two is enough to break the toughest of spirits. I myself was skeptical at first about the allegations against Jackson due to the media coverage, but soon the truth became clear: He was not guilty Folks! But, because of Jacksons inherent eagerness to create love and peace, settling was more congruent with his beliefs than getting into long drawn public arguments where ignorance dictates all judgments shadowing any attempt to understanding the human spirit, or even the obvious truth.
Genius is often accompanied by an elusive and quirky nature. That combined with the shyness and sensitivity Jackson had made him an enigma that the average mind had a hard time understanding.

Most of you may not know who Ryan White is. You should.
Ryan was born on December 6, 1971. Three days later he was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia A. When he was 13 years old on December 17, 1984 during a partial-lung removal procedure, doctors diagnosed him with AIDS -at this time his T-cell count had dropped to 25 (a healthy individual without HIV will have around 1,200). He was given six months to live.
He was expelled from school because of his infection. He posed no risk to other students, but AIDS was poorly understood at the time, and when he tried to return to school, many parents and teachers in Kokomo rallied against his attendance. A lengthy legal battle with the school system ensued, and media coverage of the struggle made him into a national celebrity and spokesman for AIDS research and public education.
During this time, he became friends with Michael Jackson. Ryan’s mother: “It’s a really good relationship. They have a good time. Michael treats Ryan like he’s not sick. And Ryan treats Michael like he’s not a celebrity.” Michael bought Ryan a red Ford Mustang, and invited him and his mother to spend time at Neverland.
When he was 18 years old, on March 29, 1990, months before his graduation and his senior prom, Ryan entered Riley Hospital for Children with a respiratory infection. As his condition deteriorated he was placed on a ventilator and sedated. He finally died on April 8, 1990. Surprising the doctors, Ryan lived five years longer than predicted.
His funeral was attended by Michael Jackson, as well as Elton John, Phil Donahue, First Lady of the United States Barbara Bush, and 1500 other mourners.
“Gone Too Soon” was written and composed by Larry Grossman and Buz Kohan and was originally performed by Dionne Warwick. Jackson called Kohan explaining he had wept while watching the performance and that he felt he wanted to record it someday.
Michael recorded the song for his Dangerous album, in memory of his friend, Ryan White.
