Shipping is fine but I like to imagine what would have happened if the beatles were forced to choose one member to be sacrificed before the sun rises but all four must agree or all four will be killed

when i was like really little on my mom's itunes and i couldn't properly understand the software (or like even the concept of albums tbh), once i played hooked on a feeling and, because she had so many muppets songs on there for me, i thought the beginning was a recording of the muppets marching to war a la roman battalion and got really scared

i broadly agree with this, but i will add that there is the reality that for those of us with preexisting conditions (people like me, for example, who live with post viral chronic illness), masks can sometimes be difficult to wear from a physical standpoint. for example, if i've been walking around a lot, i often need to take a mask break so i can catch my breath and deal with symptoms of overheating related to my chronic illness. despite that, i still wear a kn95 when i can. in fact, it's because of the reality that sometimes masks are difficult to wear that those who are privileged enough to be able to wear them with ease all the time should, in order to protect the more vulnerable members of their community who are put at risk by infection (and to protect themselves from becoming more at risk). if a mask is difficult for you to wear because of something like asthma, that genuinely can be legit, and it is all the more reason for you to advocate for mask wearing because you are probably more at risk for developing long covid or similar conditions. i don't want to hear anything about inconvenience though. guess what is more inconvenient? long covid

do you know how often i get told that it's smart of me to wear a mask by very educated liberal people who decried anti-maskers in 2020 but don't wear one themselves anymore? it happens often. it happens very very often.

to be so completely honest i think the thing that was the nail in the coffin for me enjoying fanfic was forcing myself to continue and finish fics for a fandom i didn't give a shit about because we're going on like 2.5 years now of me truly not being into this thing and with the exception of one fic i wrote when i got extremely horny i haven't let myself do anything else. and to be honest at this point i hate the fandom for semi personal reasons so i dont even know why i do this

"Caleb Soto, of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, told Al Jazeera that between 70 and 80 people had been detained, but only three lawyers have been allowed access to the detention centre where they were being held to provide legal advice.
Soto added that members of the community had effectively been “kidnapped” as officials, wearing masks had not shown warrants or any form of documentation when carrying out arrests.
Additionally, David Huerta, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) California, was arrested for allegedly obstructing federal agents during the raids. Huerta was reportedly injured during the arrest and received medical treatment at Los Angeles General Medical Center before being taken into custody."

Possible unpopular opinion: treating having a special interest as equivalent to being an expert on the topic is another form of the savant stereotype.

So last month I got hit by a car and died right. Which I didn't initially realize until I watched some guy haul my body into his pickup and drive off. Which, being that it's deep in rural Michigan, I assume means my body will make some venison jerky and maybe some wall decoration, and I'll be resigned to being one of hundreds of deer ghosts floating around Saginaw, which is w/e. But then I find out the guy works at a taxidermy shop or something, and he's actually pretty good at stuffing and mounting deer carcasses, which I come to find out when I find myself face to face with my old body in the shop window. So naturally, I figure since ghosts need to possess something to interact with the living world and etc etc etc the most logical thing to do is to possess my own body, since it's basically a statue of myself. And a little surprisingly, it actually fits like a glove. Like, since it's my body, it feels like stepping right back into place. So I get out of town and back to my herd, eventually. And that's where the trouble starts coming into it, because after I get settled again, I don't know how to explain to everyone else what feels so weird. Like since I can move my body and do everything I used to do, it's functionally the same, like nothing happened. Or it SHOULD be, so I don't know how to explain how it's NOT. But it's just hard to explain it to someone who's never been hit by a truck I guess
