I visited our local plant nursery today. Of course my pictures do no justice to the beauty of these poinsettias! I loved walking down the aisle with vivid red bordering both sides. I was thinking how beautiful they would be for a Christmas wedding. The employee told me when I commented on their beauty that a couple had come and taken their wedding pictures there. I had a lot of fun with this one! I bought this hutch to use as storage in our bathroom. I ended up buying a fabulous French provincial dresser to use instead. So I was able to recreate this in any style I wanted. I love the leaded glass doors! But didn't love the top-plus it was too big for my bathroom where it was originally slated to live. Handy hubby cut the top off for me. I then painted parts black and sanded down edges and other areas. I am going to use the top board from the top piece we cut off to make a shelf. Ringo had a tumor removed from his foot that grew out like another toe. The vet was concerned it would not heal due to the location and not enough skin to stretch back across, plus movement of the foot. After about 4 days of using essential oils and keeping it wrapped with a dog boot over the wrap, it was healing well. I took the wrap off to let it get some air one warm sunny afternoon. I watched him and he didn't act like he was going to lick on it. But not only did he lick once I was out of sight, but also chewed the stitches out and apparently chewed skin, too! There was nothing to stitch back together...just a big ugly red gaping wound! I remembered Manuka honey and put some on the wound and kept it wrapped-changing it every day or 2 until it healed. It was amazing to take the wrap off and see how quickly it healed! If you have never heard of Manuka honey, do some research-you may need it one day. Made a trip up to Weatherford yesterday to pick up some secondhand furniture. Stopped in my favorite coffee shop while there. Had lunch and a mocha latte.
