Lance enters the classroom in a chipper mood. AST275 was one of his favorite classes, not just because Astronomy was so amazing to learn about but because one of his favorite people to flirt with was in this class. Sitting down next to the blonde female he smiles over at her.

âOh sweetie. If you were really keeping tracked you would know it is way over that many times. Donât you know that I canât help it? Youâve just caught my eye. So bright like a star in my moonlit skyâ he says sweetly before giving her a playful smirk.
âMy starlit Lucy, how can ever survive this class without you?â he teases before poking her with the back of his pencil. âNow what did you get for question # 3? I wasnât sure if it was the Blackeye Galaxy or the Cartwheel Galaxy?â
Lucy couldnât help but crack a little smile hearing the lines coming from Lance. While Lucy hated men who would just swagger up to her and throw the same tired lines and never picked up that she wasnât interested in them, but with Lance there was a different...energy? There was something about him that just screamed âlittle brotherâ energy.
âOh Lance, your lines are just stellar, but poke me again and that eraser will be apart of your anatomy,â A grin appeared on Lucyâs face, but there was no real malice in her voice.

Hearing Lanceâs question, Lucy nodded her head and looked at her notes, âQuestion three?â It took Lucy a second to look through her notes, but she knew that she wasnât just going to give him the answer, âWell, look at the formation of the stars and the direction that theyâre moving, and also the description does mention a color, so that should help!â
The professor walked in and the class had quieted down as they started the lecture. Lucy quickly took out her usual array of colored pens and started to take notes; new terms were written in blue, her favorite color, new galaxies were in green, and general things were in black. Color coding her notes helped her pick out information for quickly when studying, and it obviously worked when she looked at her grades.

sundropsmilesâ:
Rapunzel had been more than excited to be hanging out with Lucy that night. She had needed a girls day desperately to destress and just let loose without a care. Lucy was one of the few people she trusted to take care of her when she decided to drink, Flynn being the second person though sheâd prefer to drink around him more during parties than just with each other just because she didnât really trust herself too much.
It hadnât taken her long to get to Lucyâs place luckily, and it hadnât taken Lucy long to open the door for her as soon as she knocked. She smiled brightly at the blonde in front of her and held up the bag with drinks she had just bought for the night.
âHey Lucy~ Iâm somehow living despite the stress of classes.â She replied with a small sigh as she made her way into the all to familiar apartment and straight to the kitchen to put the drinks down. âDo I have a story for you girl, but first, how have you been? Did you have an easy week with classes?â
Hearing that Rapunzel was doing well was a good start for their night, and the fact that she had a story for her too just added to her excitement. They frequently would air their complaints about life the later the night went on, and a couple of those problems have been centered on boys, but thankfully not all of them.
Moving behind Rapunzel and putting a couple of the drinks in the fridge, âOh, yaâknow, the usual BS; professors assigning more and more papers conveniently all due on the same week, and then Lance just swoops on in and tries to flirt...to be honest Lance has been a good distraction.â A smile appeared on Lucyâs face.

Lucy took out two of the hard lemonaids that she had bought and handed one to Rapunzel, âGonna start light tonight, because I have a feeling I know who the storyâs about,â Lucy winked at Rapunzel and moved to sit on the couch and waited for her friend to join her.

A Fun Night || Lucy & Rapunzel
Starter for @sundropsmilesâ
It was Friday night and Lucy was in her most comfortable clothes: a pair of old sweatpants, a baby-powder blue croptop, and her hair was in loose twintails. During most nights Lucy would still be in her jeans and a normal shirt still working on homework, but she managed to get a majority of the work during the day so she could relax for the weekend...especially since Rapunzel was coming over to drink and hangout.
Taking her phone out, âHuh, I wonder when sheâll get here- oh! Speak of the devil,â as soon as Lucy wondered when her friend would arrive, she heard a knock at her door.

Opening the door, Lucy saw the familiar long blonde hair of Rapunzel standing in the doorway. She had met Rapunzel during her Winter semester of freshman year due to being in the same major. The pure energy that Rapunzel emanated drew Lucy to her and they just...clicked!
âHey Rapunzel! Howâre you doing today girl!?â Lucy smiled wide at seeing her friend and let her into the apartment.

Another Flirt || Lance & Lucy
Starter for @livinglavidalance
Sitting in her classroom before class started, Lucy leaned back into the chair and stretched her arms out. The night before wasnât the best sleep for her due to the crap load of assignments that she had to complete for her other classes for the day, but AST275 was her last class of the week and she could finally relax- then she felt a presence to her left; a very familiar presence.
Narrowing her eyes without looking at him, âHello Lance. Trying again to woo me today? Is this the 37th or 38th time this year? Iâve honestly lost count.â There was touch of annoyance in her voice.

Lance was in the same year and major as her and...he was a flirt. A major flirt. The king of flirts and Lucy was always a recipient of his attention when he saw her. While the constant flirting was annoying some days, he never got creepy when she would reject him or sass him. It was...a weird kind of relationship? It was weird. Lucyâs life was weird.

A Motherâs Love
Today was...a hell of a day for Lucy: today was Motherâs day. The day was a border line trigger for her, and even the mention of the day brought her to a dark place that was hard for her to get out of. The day was something that she used to love...when her mother was still alive, but since her passing, sheâs grown to detest the day. Itâs been a year now since her motherâs passed, and she still has knee-jerk reactions to hearing the phrase âHappy Motherâs Day!â And now...now everyone is with their mothers....and they were rubbing it in her face.
Hearing the phrase for the third time, âI...I knew I shouldâve stayed in my apartment today...â
Lucy just went on auto-pilot while walking through the city and trying not to look at the happy mother/child duos. She wasnât going to lash out at them...but she didnât feel like breaking down in the middle of the road. Finally reaching her apartment, Lucy sat on her bed...numb.
Then, a memory hit her, hard.
She was a kid again, a young kid, and she was in her family's mansion again. She was in her room, the walls an off white and covered with various cute pictures of animals, and her floor was littered with toys and various trinkets. She didnât remember being so spoiled. But that wasnât the point of the memory, since their butler came into her room to get her: her mother wanted her. Lucyâs little self had a full smile on her face, and she raced to her parentsâ room. Adult Lucy knew what was happening, and her heart tightened. As soon as Young!Lucy entered the room, she saw that both of her parents were more...sad? What happened? She ran to her mother and jumped onto her lap, like normal. Her mother smiled at her...it was so warm, and filled with so much love...Lucyâs eyes started to fill with tears. She didnât want to remember this. She didnât want to remember-
   âLucy darling...mother is very sick.â
She didnât want to remember the moment that her young life died. It was at that moment that Lucy was told that her mother was basically dying...and she didnât know then how serious that meant. She was so ignorant, she told her mother just to take more medicine and sleep. She was so dump. She was so...naive. For the next couple years, her motherâs health was just a roller coaster. There were some day, weeks even, that her mother was the image of health...then there would be months...months of her mother looking so..frail, so...dead. She hated it. She hated so much that her mother left her, that her mother wasnât in her life anymore, and that her father decided to change. She hated it.
  She hated her mother.
She stilled....she didnât just think that. She...she didnât mean it. She knew that she wasnât telling the truth when she thought that. Her mother was the warmest, kindest, and the most caring woman she knew. There were many fights between her mother and father that were about her mother giving money to charities and to the homeless. Her mother would just smile at her father and just say, âI know dear, but we donât need all this wealth, they canât even eat.âÂ
Lucy reached into her side bag, where she kept her keys, and took out Aquariusâ key. Staring at the metal, Lucy wanted to talk to Aquarius again. She wanted to talk to her about her mom...about how much she wanted to be her and how much she...she wanted her to still be here.
Thatâs when she felt it: a warmth surrounding her...like a hug.
Tears are freely running down Lucyâs face. She was sobbing. She was a mess. She....she didnât know what was going on.
Lucy, after getting out her last few tears, looked forward...and she started to sob again. Her mother was right in front of her...alive. Realizing this, Lucy returned her motherâs hug, with full force. She felt her motherâs laugh...her warm, and airy laugh. That laugh caused more tears to fall, itâs been so long since sheâs heard that sound.Â
Lifting her head, Lucy saw something that she never thought she would see again: the healthy face of her mother. Her mother was actually in front of her...smiling and crying with her.
âM-Mom...thereâs...th-thereâs so much that I want to talk to you a-about...b-but I d-donât think we h-have the time, huh?â
Her mother nodded, tears starting to form again.
Wiping her motherâs tears away, âW-Well, I guess I g-gotta keep this short, huh? ...H...Happy motherâs day mom...I hope youâre doing well up there...I miss you...I miss you so damn much.â
With a final hug from her mom, and a kiss on her forehead, the warmth started to disappear...but it didnât get cold. Her heart felt more...full. Looking out the window, Lucy looked up at the sky, and smiled. She knew: her mother was looking out for her...and that is all she needed to know.

Shino did a big sigh. In and out, cool and collected. She can figure it out. Sheâll make it work. She realized she had moved her scarf over her mouth and quickly pulled it down again
She looked over at the pretty blonde girl next to her who she has not spoken a word to except the occasional awkward greeting. She bite her lip slightly then straightened her back.
âHi um do you know who Lucy is? She is my partner and I do not remember everyoneâs names yet.âHopefully she knew so she would not have to go around the entire class as they shuffled around talking to their partners. She wondered who is the small lake of people who here partner could be? Who knows maybe they could even be nice.
Lucyâs eyes widened.
âOh crap...your Shino?â
Lucy felt a pang of shame when she remembered how she acted before. She didnât like to be rude to anyone, especially to people she didnât know.
âIâm so sorry I didnât know who you were! Itâs just that, Iâve never really talked to you before, and that you never really talk in class-â She realized she was rambling.
âOkay, sorry for the rambling. Hi! Iâm Lucy, Lucy Heartfilia! So, Iâm guessing youâre Shino then?â

Sasuke brushed off her sassy comment, disregarding her previous request for a tutor. He is a busy guy, when would he find the time to meet up with a classmate to further discuss their class work? Although it probably is possible, who knew how long it would take to go over. Right now, the raven isnât exactly confident in the blondeâs ability to catch onto the material.
When the professor announced the groupwork, Sasuke slammed his book down without a second to spare. This is his worst nightmare. Itâs one thing to be forced to sit at a desk with another student, but partnering up for a worksheet? What is this, highschool? He would have felt a bit more at ease if he knew another person in this class. Alas, he is as lonely as he is hopeless.
And as if he wasnât already distressed about this situation, it appears that he is stuck with Lucy, yet again.
âGreat.â He monotonously replied to the unenthusiastic girl.
Sasuke took the sheet of paper from Lucy, and scanned it over. The equations littering the paper were nothing to bat an eye at. Although, he hasnât had to answer any questions quite like this in a long time. What is synthetic division doing in an intro to biology class, anyway? A quick glance at his partner, and he knew she would need some help. It doesnât look like he has a choice this time.
âYeah, whatâs so bad about it? Theyâre simple polynomials. They all have the same variable, thereâs only one operation in the denominator, none of the numbers are higher than 10 so multiplying wonât be a problemâŚ.â
His tangent lead him to a possible solution to Lucyâs predicament.
âHow about this. Show me you can do these problems yourself.â He pointed to the first two in the row. âIf you get one of them right on the first try, Iâll agree to be your tutor.â
âThis is an actual asshole, oh my god.â
Lucy has never wanted to hit a classmate so much before. Sasuke couldnât just not be an ass. But, he was giving her a change, she had a feeling that it was rare. Lucy grabbed the homework back and tried to find the easiest problem. Most of them seemed easy, but math is a great liar and wants to make everyone feel immense pain.Â
âFine, I guess Iâll do number three...â
Lucy started to do the math. The numbers were pretty easy to work with, and there werenât that many of them either. Lucy finished the problem. She double checked her numbers, trying to find any stupid mistakes. Finding none, and feeling somewhat confident, she handed Sasuke her paper.
âWell, is it right, or is it right?â

Shino was sitting in the back of the stuffy classroom her back leaning up against the wall listening to the history professor give another âgrand sounding speak of events of oldâ or at least that was what he probably thought. The lecture was ultimately not too bad, WWI is interesting at least but the class was not exactly riveted.Â
âAlright now Iâm going to assign you all a group project, you can choose whatever historical event you wish. I will write your groups up at the board. The details are on these assignment sheets.â
WHAT? !!
Assigned groups ugh this was going to be the worst. Shino dreaded the possibility of having to do all the work herself as she took the piece of paper off of the pile. She scanned through pairs written on the board. The two boys in front of Shino high-five as they were paired together. Actually looking around it seemed that people who knew each other seemed to be paired up. She looked back up to see her name on the board.
Shino Asada
Lucy Heartfilia
Hmmm⌠who was Lucy again?
Lucyâs âHistory of WWIIâ class was not her cup of tea. It was all things that she learned in middle and high school, and the only difference now is that there are triple the amount of writing and utter BS.
âOh great, time for another day of dealing with a boring as hell professor.â
Lucy sat her bag down on the desk, sitting next to a small blue-haired girl. Lucy never really talked much in this class, except for the required participation, but nothing extra.
So when the professor announces a group project Lucy just wanted to die. Group projects never ended will for her.
âAre you actually kidding me!? Itâs not even the second week of classes!â
Then Lucy got her partner assignment; some girl named Shino.
âWho....who in the hellâs Shino?â
Lucy just prayed that she didnât have to do all of the work this time around.

Shiro winced at the sound, he wasnât expecting that kind of reaction from her. But he couldnât blame her either.Â
âNice to meet you Lucy. Iâm Takashi.â The male replied back polietly at the girl. He looked around the room trying to think of the fastest route to the tutoring center. âItâs no problem at all. Itâs alright, is this your first time here right?â He smiled at her.
âItâs normal to be lost of your first few days here. As for the tutoring centerâŚletâs see.â He tapped his finger on his chin. âActually, letâs get you a map of the school first. It will help you find the route faster.â
He walked over to his books and slipped them into his backpack. âOver by the entrance of this building they have a few maps for students.â Â
Lucyâs heart slowed its beating, returning to a normal rhythm.
âThank you so much Takashi!â
Lucy followed Takashi to the entrance of the building. There was indeed a small pile of maps on a table that depicted the campus, but with helpful labels. Lucy stared at the new map in her hands, and most of the labels were new to her.
âWait, we have a convenience store on campus!? Since when!?â
Lucy kept on looking at the map, trying to find where she needed to go. Which, yes, was on the other side of campus, the side of campus that sheâs never been to.
âOh god, I havenât been to that side of campus yet.â

âIce-breaking is a waste of time, honestly. And it sounds like you agree,â Larxene hums, a hint of a smirk on her lips.Â
It seemed like Lucy was catching on to Larxeneâs style faster than she expected. Larxene honestly wouldnât mind just not doing anything with her new roommate, but it was clear that Lucy wouldnât stop trying to spend time with her until they did. So she might as well accept and use the opportunity to further analyze the new girl.
âHmm. I guess we should go out for some food and get that out of the way. I know all the restaurants on campus, so itâs not like we donât have a selection or whatever. Iâm a vegetarian though, so weâre absolutely not going to a burger joint.â
Lucy made note of Larxeneâs diet for the future.
âIâm not feeling a burger myself, honestly. What kind of restaurants are around here? Hopefully not anything too expensive, because my bank account isnât too pleased with me right now.â
Lucy drove a pretty decent amount to get to campus, and the price for gas wasnât too kind either. Her poor wallet and bank account were screaming at her every time she swiped her card.
âOkay, time to find my purse.â
Lucy looked around her room to find the bag that had her purse in it, since hopefully they were going to eat soon. Lucy started with the box that was on her bed. Opening the box, she found that it was just a bunch of her books from home...and her family photo album. Too many emotions went through her head. She quickly put the album back and closed the box. Turning around, she saw that her her purse was...hanging right on the door knob.
â...oh my god that didnât just happen.â

Silence Doesnât Help
Starter for @blackthebeast
Lucy was walking around campus, trying to clear her head. Today was a long day filled with frustrating homework and professors that donât know how to teach. She noticed that she would just glare at the same page of biology notes for a solid half-hour, so, on a little walk she went.Â
Going through the universityâs little garden usually helped her calm down. Lucy isnât a nature girl by any means, but listening to the rustling leaves and the small animals currying around really helped ground herself and come back down from whatever the hell was going on in her life. She learned to do this thanks to her mother.
Lucy sat down at a table that was in the center of the garden. She took out a book that she was reading, something about Zodiac myths, and just focused on the stories that she was indulged in.
Lucy sighed happily, âMan, I already feel so much calmer, I donât want to punch my desk in half anymore! Iâll probably stay a little longer-âÂ
Lucy her a twig snap behind her. She froze. She straightened up and felt her heartbeat speed up.
âOh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god.â

âsorry,â namine muttered as she continued to practically bury herself in the otherâs embrace.
in all honesty, she hadnât meant to suddenly bother the stranger, but the storm that was raging outside was too much for her. the moment she heard the first thunderclap, she darted for the nearest person. and that just happened to be this blonde stranger she had never even seen before.
at the sound of another thunderclap, namine jumped and pressed closer to the other. she was trembling.

âth-the storm scared me. s-sorry.â
and yet she didnât pull away.Â
Lucyâs heart tightened for the girl. When Lucy was a little girl, like most children, she was also afraid of thunderstorms. The house shaking after each roar of thunder made Lucy run to her parentsâ room and jump on their bed and crying.
Lucy put her hand on the girlâs head, and started to pat it.
âItâs okay sweetie. I was afraid of thunderstorms too.â
Another roll of thunder came through the air, and Lucy jumped a little, her heart seizing a little.
âO-okay, maybe Iâm still a little afraid.â
Lucy looked at the girl, âWell, since we already so close,â Lucy laughed at her own joke, âmaybe I can get your name? Iâm Lucy Heartfilia.â

The law major nodded in acknowledgement. Lucyâs point was acceptable, even if it wasnât as practical as Larxene wouldâve liked it to be. But, to each their own. Larxene lingered in the doorway behind Lucy as she watched her rummage through her things in the attempt to get her new room together.
âYeah, theyâre fine with our rooms being painted as long as we paint them back to the original color before we move out.â
Larxene glanced at the walls in disapproval. âThis color really is terrible. Itâs not even good enough to be considered a nice, clean white. I had to paint my walls burgundy just to fix how boring they looked. I guess theyâre better now.â
Lucy did a small happy dance. Lucy loved to decorate. So what if she had to repaint her room, all that mattered is that she could make it her own.
âYeah, whoever decided on this shouldâve been fired for even suggesting it.â
Lucy finally got the sheets fitted onto her bed; all nice and neat. She threw her blanket on and also her memory foam pillow. She didnât really need to make her bed, but she wanted at least the fitted sheet on.
Lucy turned to her roommate, âSo, should we do the whole awkward ice-breaker thing, or just go out to get some food together?â
Lucy was kind of nervous being this bold with someone she literally just met, but, they needed to start somewhere if they were to be friends at least once this year.

Sasuke fought hard to resist rolling his eyes at Lucyâs plea for attention. He might have taken it the wrong way. Heâs used to girls trying hard to get his attention. Before he was home schooled, they would practically throw themselves in his direction. In the past, heâd awkwardly accept those requests. It was only, what, elementary school? Kidâs were a lot more innocent in that stage of life. It wasnât until middle school that theyâd try to gain more than just friendship.
Not only has he never been interested in that kind of attention, but couldnât understand why he of all people was getting it. Why didnât the professor pair him up with another guy? Theyâre usually much more discreet about it, if even they even noticed him at all.
Sasuke took Lucyâs tapping on his book as an indication that she wonât stop until he answers her. All the girl wanted was some help. Although it wasnât explicitly clear, the boy could figure she was asking him to tutor her. Werenât there professionals here who can help her out with that? Or at least other students who were desperate for extra credit? Sasukeâs never actually tutored anyone before. He may have the smarts, but he isnât so confident about his patience.
âSorry, not interested.â He answered in monotone, never letting his gaze shift from the book. âWhat makes you think I can teach you advanced Biology when youâre struggling in a standard class?â

Lucy couldâve slapped him. Her hand was primed for maximum slap-age. But, she needed to get his help if she wanted to keep some of her scholarships.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. âI donât need you to teach me advanced biology, I just need help with intro biology.â
The professor started to on about about their lesson, but then mentioned something about doing partner work for the rest of the class. The class were to select their own partners. Lucy looked around, and apparently everyone was already paired up...so that left her with this bundle of joy for a partner.
âAaaand it looks like weâre partners.â She didnât know how to feel about it...but most of her feelings were not positive.
Lucy received the sheets for her and Sasuke and looked at the assignment, while handing the other one to the boy. It was nothing too extreme, just some equations involving...synthetic division....shit.
âOh great, synthetic division, I hate synthetic division.â
