how has your experience at digipen been? would you recommend their fine art/animation program?
Yeah, it's been really interesting! It's a lot of work-- like... a LOT of work, but it's a double-edged sword. Even though I'm exhausted all the time, I'm improving a lot as well.
The teachers are all really knowledgeable in their fields, and the animation teachers are industry veterans (my teacher worked on my favorite movie, Lilo & Stitch) and are really committed to making sure every student gets the time and help they need to succeed.
As for the program, I have my issues with it-- it's very 3D animation focused now, but a lot of students, myself included, want more 2D animation. The school does listen to us at least, so a lot of us are trying to make that known.
The biggest issue I have, though, is that there is a big portion of tech people in the school who are trying to push for generative AI to be taught in the school, which is annoying. I haven't met a single art student who doesn't hate AI and nearly every art teacher is against it, too.
The cost is pretty high, too. Most of my tuition is paid for by grants, scholarships, and loans, but even then I still have to pay out of pocket at times.

Saw "Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time" recommended to me on Steam and went "Huh, this looks a little bit like Ni no Kuni..."

#I've been like... looking for something to scratch that same itch that NnK II did#XC3 was great and I absolutely loved it but now the desire to play another game like that is rising#P3R is fine and all but it's not hitting right for me at this exact moment for some reason#It doesn't look EXACTLY the same like... I think it's a huge step down from the art style of NnK II#and the gameplay looks more like animal crossing#but you never know

No, but you're so right, though. It would have been such a great way to have IV feel like the beginning of a new arc and now they're just dropping ML entirely, I'm DISTRAUGHT.
Maybe if we count the χ Series and Back Cover separately, we can salvage this.
