Shadow Is Gerald's Son & Maria And Shadow Are Like Siblings
So a detail that about Shadow and Maria that is seen in the games is that the 2 of them are basically siblings. As both of them learned stuff together hung out, and Maria is often labeled as Shadow's best friend. Sonic Channel: "She lived with Shadow, who was born there, as if they were siblings."
Another detail is Gerald Robotnik the creator of Shadow the Hedgehog views Shadow as one of his sons. This can be seen in both Shadow The Hedgehog and Sonic x Shadow Generations. This basically makes Shadow a Robotnik since he is part of the family as Gerald's son. This also technically makes him the uncle of Maria and Eggman.

I appreciate you sharing your opinion, and I understand your point of view — but that’s not the only reason I’ve decided to leave the franchise. For me, it's not just about seeing things slowly fall apart right before our eyes. I’m also stepping away because, unfortunately, there hasn’t been anything genuinely interesting for me lately.
The new animation is way too childish. I wish they would create a show with serious tone and high quality — something like Transformers Prime, which, by the way, is a wonderful series that I love. In my opinion, it had so much potential to explore other storylines, like the Dinobots, or maybe even a full season where Silas was the main villain and Optimus had to form a temporary alliance with Megatron and the Decepticons to take him down for good. That would’ve been incredible.
Even though we have the current comics, as I said before, the recent volumes just don’t interest me much — but I do see that some people are still following this new comic series, and I completely respect their opinion. I was only expressing my point of view in that post. It’s not just that Transformers is "dying" — what I meant is that the franchise is going through a decline, and it feels like it’s digging its own grave by making poor decisions. I won’t get into all the details, but part of why I’m stepping away is also because the recent content doesn’t appeal to me. It feels too watered-down and overly generalized.
The last series released, Transformers Earthspark, was decent — at least in its first and second seasons. But I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed with the writing and how the animation quality started to decline as the seasons went on. The last truly good piece of content I enjoyed was the movie, but sadly, it flopped due to poor marketing and trailers that didn’t capture much attention.
And as I’ve mentioned in some of my previous posts, a lot of longtime hardcore fans — the more critical ones — weren’t happy with how the movie changed Optimus and Megatron’s origins. Originally, Megatron was a slave miner from a low caste, and Optimus was an archivist from a high/middle caste living in one of Cybertron’s top cities. By changing their backstories, it kind of undermines the reason why they took such drastically different paths — but again, I won’t go too deep into that either.
Anyway, I think I’m starting to ramble — sorry about that. Like I said, I’m stepping away from the franchise because it just doesn’t offer content that interests me anymore, and because very few studios or companies seem willing to invest in Transformers these days. With so little being released, it's hard for people to stay engaged — and unfortunately, I wasn’t strong enough to stick around. I know many franchises have gone through tough phases and bounced back, but for me, Transformers is in such a difficult state that I’m walking away by choice.
That said, I’m really glad you’re still active in the fandom, and I truly wish all the best, blessings, and continued success to the franchise and to all Transformers fans. That’s it. I’m signing off now, and thank you again for sharing your opinion with me.😊
Paramount canceled Transformers One sequel...
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone. I know I already said here on Tumblr that I wouldn’t talk about Transformers anymore or share any music related to it. And… it’s incredible, because even after I deleted every single Transformers-related video from all my social media, a post suddenly showed up on my Twitter saying that Paramount has no plans to make a sequel to Transformers 1 due to its very low box office, and because it's considered one of the biggest flops and lowest-grossing films in the entire Transformers franchise.
Not only did it appear on my Twitter feed, but a well-known Transformers influencer also shared this news, and the video even showed up on my TikTok timeline. Of course, as soon as I finished watching it, I asked TikTok to stop showing me any Transformers videos at all. And just like I’ve said before, the franchise is slowly dying — and there’s not much we can do about it. Even though I saw some people on Twitter trying to start a hashtag campaign asking another studio to pick up Transformers and create a new sequel, the terrible box office performance of the first film makes it clear that a second or third would only do worse.
The guy who made the video I just mentioned — the one discussing how Paramount canceled the sequel — said that Transformers is in its “dark age” and is “digging its own grave.” And unfortunately, he’s right. Like I said in some of my earlier posts — including here — Transformers is dying. The franchise is dying. They canceled the game, canceled projects, canceled the sequel. The recent and current animations are terrible, and the only things still holding the franchise up are the toys and the comics — which, by the way, I think many people are also starting to drop, since some have been complaining that the recent volumes aren’t nearly as interesting as the earlier ones.
Anyway, I just felt like making this post in case any of my followers who still keep up with Transformers hadn’t heard the sad news. And like I said, I won’t be coming back to the franchise — because it’s dying and there’s nothing truly interesting left. That’s all. I wish strength and blessings to all Transformers fans, because the situation the franchise is in right now is really delicate.
