you're a loyal person to the core, and probably a hopeless romantic as well. you're full of love for those you care about, and that's both your biggest strength and weakness. you would do anything for them, even if it means hurting your own feelings. you will hide all your pain and your needs as longs as that means the rest gets to be happy. you biggest struggle is to clearly communicate your feelings, and you'll always try to avoid those conversations or pretend everything is fine ( when it isn't ). remember you deserve to receive the same love you give.

idk how to describe the exact thought process that led me to this idea, but basically i was watching a tonne of ins.tagram videos and i think i had hit the fourth video in a row using that interview where it’s like “love ya, bye.” “love ya…………..PFFT–” and i was like. in a way, that’s actually completely adorable, and i was thinking about all the different ways and contexts in which people say “i love you”, and now i’m here to make it everyone else’s problem! so bon appetit! DO NOT ADD TO THIS LIST!! i will add to it in the future!! i will also be making a second list which is virtually identical, but there are two additional prompts that are not suitable for young eyes, so here u go, here’s a sfw version, and remember, if you add to the list i will curse ur shoes to be squeaky 24/7. so just don’t add anything to the list, okay my loves? okay. enjoy!

[  FIRST  ]:     sender tells the receiver “i love you” for the first time.

[  PHONE  ]:     during a phone call with the receiver, sender absently tells them “i love you” for the first time before hanging up.

[  MOUTH  ]:     while standing across a crowded room from one another, sender catches the receiver’s eye and mouths “i love you” to them.

[  WEDDING  ]:     as they prepare to exchange wedding vows, sender gazes at the receiver and says “i love you” for the last time as an unmarried couple.

[  HEAT  ]:     while engaged in a passionate argument with one another, sender, in the heat of the moment, blurts out “i love you!” to the receiver. ( think of like, that glorious trope where people have a huge argument and then suddenly sb drops the mic with “because i’m in love with you!” and silences the other person. u know the trope! )

[  SLOW  ]:     after resisting their feelings for one another for a very long time, sender finally breaks down and reveals to the receiver that they love them.

[  SAVED  ]:    having believed they were both about to die, the sender says “i love you” to the receiver, only for both of them to be spared at the last minute and left to process the not-so-final last words of the sender.

[  OVERHEARD  ]:     sender reveals that they’re in love with the receiver to a third party, not realizing that the receiver, while out of sight, has just overheard the confession.

[  CHOOSE  ]:     sender, realizing the receiver is about to make a huge life-changing decision (literally anything, accepting a job offer, accepting a marriage proposal, leaving the country, ANYTHING!) tells the receiver that they’re in love with them, leaving them to choose between the sender and their original path.

[  DECISION  ]:     sender finds the receiver just as they’re about to make a massive decision that will have massive consequences for the fate of many people, possibly the world. accepting their fate, sender allows the receiver to continue, telling them that they love them, and then waiting to see whether the receiver choose to save the world, or destroy it.  (for the hero/villain vibes bc we STAN THOSE VIBES! )

[  LAST  ]:     believing it to be their last chance to confess their feelings for the receiver, the sender tells them that they love them.

[  ASK  ]:     immediately after saying “i love you” to the receiver for the first time, the sender proceeds to propose to them.

[  BEDSIDE  ]:     while sitting by the sick/injured/unconscious receiver’s bedside, sender reveals that they’re in love with them, unaware that the receiver is able to hear this revelation.

[  TEXT  ]:      before concluding a text conversation, the sender delivers one more text to the receiver, reading “i love you”, before ending the conversation.

[  SACRIFICE  ]:     just before putting their own life in danger to protect, save, or help the receiver, the sender tells them that they love them, and then proceeds to risk their life in an intentional self-sacrificing way.

[  BATTLE  ]:     as they prepare to go on a dangerous mission, sender shares a final moment with the receiver, and tells them they love them, just as they head out to fight.

[  TRACE  ]:     sender, believing the receiver to be asleep, gently traces the message “i love you” on the receiver’s bare skin with their finger.

[  LETTER  ]:     sender delivers a letter to the receiver that reveals their deep love for the receiver.

[  PRIVATE  ]:     sender confesses their love for the receiver by using a private joke or shared story that only the two of them know.  ( example: “remember the day we went fishing on the lake and you fell into the water because you thought that leaf was a sharkfin? that was the day i knew i loved you.”  )

[  NOTE  ]:     on their way out of the house, sender leaves a small note for the receiver to read when they wake up, reading “i love you”.

[  UNSPOKEN  ]:     after a third party (or the receiver themselves) asks if the sender is in love with the receiver, the sender goes silent, unwittingly admitting that they do love them in the process.

[  KISS  ]:     unable to find the right words to express how much they love the receiver, the sender impulsively catches them and pulls them in for a passionate, deep kiss.

[  RAIN  ]:     sender reveals their love for the receiver while they’re both standing outside in the pouring rain.

[  HUSH  ]:     sender whispers “i love you” to the receiver while they’re both in a situation or context where they need to be quiet.

[  UNCERTAIN  ]:     while pretending/acting/undercover, the sender says “i love you” to the receiver, but whether they meant it or not is left unknown.

[  DANCING  ]:     as they slow-dance together, the sender takes the opportunity to lean in close to the receiver and tell them that they love them.

[  QUIET  ]:     on a cozy night in with the receiver, as they curl up together on the sofa/in bed, the sender says “i love you” to them.

[  RELIEF  ]:     upon reuniting with the receiver, whom the sender briefly believed to be dead, the sender emotionally embraces them, and says “i love you” in the spur of the moment.

[  LAUGH  ]:     while laughing at a joke/prank/story that the receiver is humorously displaying, the sender fondly tells them that they love them.

[  OVER?  ]:     after a mutually reluctant (and unwanted but necessary) break-up, the sender calls/visits the receiver and tells them that they’re still in love with them.

[  VOICEMAIL  ]:     sender leaves a voicemail on the receiver’s phone after failing to get through to them, and reveals their love for them.

[  ASLEEP  ]:     sender, having climbed into bed to cuddle the receiver (who they believe to be asleep), tells them that they love them.

[  INCOHERENT  ]:     while sick/feverish/intoxicated/otherwise incoherent, the sender tells the receiver that they love them, leaving the receiver to figure out if they meant it or not.

[  TRUST  ]:      faced with an incredibly risky situation, the sender decides to accept whatever plan the receiver decides on, trusting them with both of their lives and telling them they love them in the process.

" beggars and choosers " he says, as if she's not trying to tell him the exact opposite; she wants him to see that he no longer needs to subdue to the whims of whoever or whatever he can drink from, but she guesses that all of this must be new to him; apparently, he used to be at the mercy of the one who turned him into a spawn, from the very limited information she has been able to gather about his existence before the nautiloid. thinking again of a way to reassure him that she just wants to make him feel comfortable, she barely registers the fact he called her pretty, but her brain stops working for a second when she does.

" no, it's― uh... it's fine by me, " she replies with a smile, doing her best to hide the color that has risen to her freckled cheeks. it's more than fine, actually; before she arrived at baldur's gate to establish her latest clinic, she had spent so much time alone on the road she feels like she had forgotten what the touch of another felt like on her skin. " still, if you ever prefer― i mean, you don't have to drink from my neck, you can always feed from my wrist if it's more comfortable; the radial artery has one of the best flows in the body and the blood that comes out of it is fresh from the... " she stops herself, cringing a little at her empty effort to give him all the options, despite the fact he has already tell her he's alright with it ( " you're being an idiot, nienna " the little voice of self consciousness inside her head chastises " now he most definitely think you an idiot " )

she laughs a little, her fingers playing with her hair in sign of nervousness " sorry. i'll spare you the lesson in anatomy. i just want to make sure you feel good about this. that's all, " she suddenly remembers he did said he was feeling peckish moments ago and something tells her he's the kind to downplay his own hunger, so she raises her bare arm and offers it to him as a sign she meant what she said " you can try it now, if you want. "

nienna’s offer is … unexpected , to say the least. this one is full of surprises , it seems. it’s true that the spawn had been exaggerating his affections for the warlock , and not even just to have a taste of the decadence pulsing through her veins — but to ensure that she never turns on him. he feels a touch of foolishness now , assuming the worst in her when … she really just is this kind , isn’t she ? she isn’t offering her blood to get some sick thrill out of being bitten by a vampire , she isn’t fetishizing what he is. she just … doesn’t want him to see him go hungry anymore ? astarion wants to be annoyed by her level of generosity. he wants to reject it , 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦. but— what if it is ? what if she really is just this nice ?

his once confident and captivating expression falters for a moment. nienna has thrown him , and it’s visible in the perplexity forming within his gaze , ❛ that is — ❜ his words trail off briefly. he is deciding whether or not to let himself trust her seemingly selfless gesture , but really , it matters not if she is lying. it appears he will be well fed , either way , and decides that is good enough for him for now. and his confident smirk returns to his pale expression , ❛ — very sweet of you , actually. but , if it’s all the same to you , darling , 𝙞 𝙙𝙤 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 , ❜ he tells her , gesturing at her figure with a flamboyant hand. and he isn’t lying , feeding directly from her warm flesh is most preferred , the way the hot blood rushes so readily into his hungry mouth. gods , he is practically drooling just thinking about it , ❛ unless , of course , you’d prefer doing it the other way. i should just be so lucky that you’re offering at all , beggars and choosers and all that. ��

sometimes, when he speaks to her like that, all charming and enticing, nienna's heart goes to all the souls he must have lured into his arms during his two hundred years of existence. it is so easy to fall into his perfectly well placed traps, she can't help but to wonder what would've been of her, if they had met under different circumstances. and despite the fact she knows this is a game for him to play ( " he only wants you for blood, nienna " she feels the need to remind herself constantly since the night he laid on top of her, drinking from her neck ) her treacherous heart still skips a beat the moment he looks her in the eye.

" well, yes. i have been thinking about it, now that you mention it, " she replies honestly, lowering her gaze, lest she loses her resolve before she even starts speaking " it's just... i don't want you to go hungry anymore, but― " but i don't think you'd be drinking from me if you had any other choice, its what she means to say yet doesn't dare to voice in case it turns out to be the truth " but if you prefer, you don't have come to my bed every time you need subsistence. " subconsciously, her hand goes to her neck, caressing on the spot he had bitten into, almost as if missing the contact " i can provide you with vials or... or bottles of my blood for whenever you need them, you only need to ask " she tries to give him a reassuring smile; it was one of the benefits of being a healer, she knew how to exsanguinate herself without risking herself in the process.

too long for his liking , but nienna’s question touches pointed ears like a dinner bell ringing within them. is the warlock eager to nourish him once again ? she did seem rather … enthusiastic the last time , 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 than astarion could have ever predicted her to be. he would even go as far as to assume that she quite enjoyed herself , and needless to say , her essence has certainly been on his mind. his first sip of blood from an intellectual creature , a taste more exquisite than even the finest brandy , a taste that has been forbidden to him for over two centuries.

❛ i’m feeling a tad peckish , truth be told , ❜ the spawn answers , using his hand as he speaks to hold his thumb and index finger slightly apart from one another. but then a wry smirk touches pale lips as he cocks his head slightly , ❛ why do you ask , darling ? has someone been thinking about the last time ? 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙞 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 , ❜ his voice is a soothing lull , half - lidded , crimson eyes finding nienna’s gaze.

in chinese culture, clementines, known for their bright orange, waxy exterior, were symbolic of gold, and by extension, wealth, good fortune and abundance. trees that bear clementines ( or mandarins, as they're also known as ) are often used to decorate the thresholds of chinese households as a sign of good luck and prosperity. as lucky as clementines may be, so are you and those around you. with a sunny disposition, and a knack for seeing the best in everyone, and the good in the world around you, you're someone who believes that the glass is always half full. things can always be worse, and they will always get better, one way or another ! like the vibrant clementines you're known for bringing light to those who need it, and always bringing laughter to your friend group. however, such a bright exterior can sometimes hide a deep and lingering sadness. remember : even the light sometimes has to dim, and even the sun has to set. don't worry ; it'll always come back.
