i feel like in the context of artists, musicians or just anybody who does something that is considered “creative”, the idea of an individual being at their “peak” is flawed. i personally believe there are multiple peaks throughout an individuals creative timeline, but the peak i wanna go into specifically is the first one.

the first peak occurs right at the beginning, as soon as an individual decides they would like to pursue a particular passion. in the beginning there is no pressure because who’s watching?, nobody telling you to malleate your work to fit a particular standard, your work isn’t defined by the reactions of others, if anything your at complete peace in the beginning. it’s important to point out the first peak because a lot of us who pursue our passions don’t even realise we are in it, we spend so much time questioning why nothing is working out in our favour, why the numbers aint correlating to the work and forget the absence of pressure and how much freedom there is in the beginning (subjectively).

to put it simply we’re already great in the beginning we just fail to realise it. this is just a thought though and i’m more than open to it being challenged
