Welp, It’s been a while since I’ve been on tumblr, but you know what?  Let’s kick it off with a car meet I was at.  My car makes quite a debut in this video.  It’s a White (the only white car without any other color on it) 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST.  And the guy also recorded in my car for the last bit too, doing a burnout, the meet was lit, and it was fun for sure.  @odd-the-motoring-fox @master-lux @shaizerektman

Coming into a fandom late

i’ll level with you guys. i work in tech and im a longtime user on this hellsite, and i have some predictions. these could be completely wrong so please don’t take my word for it but:

- they will not be looking for loopholes in their AI, which is what they’ll use for erotic content. i see those loopholes becoming well known and exploitable, quickly

- we currently don’t have another site for gifs and other kinds of fan content. unless something else comes up quick, that can handle a large migration, we’re all still kind of stuck here

- they’re not going to want to lose their long term traffic. i can see them using this ban as a large blanket fix for more precise problems, then loosening up the rules or no longer enforcing them when they feel they’ve done their jobs and “fixed” it

- i would refrain from comparing this to livejournal; the way content is shared on here vs livejournal, even in its heyday, is wildly different

- we’ll be seeing more closed fandom spaces on other sites, but we will not see the same massive audience we see here

- this site defies predictive analysis because it is, i think, the sixth circle of hell. fuck it, you know? we all die eventually
