Tourist season has officially begun. The freeway was packed in front & in back. It’s getting hot in other places & so the caravan of RVs has begun. The campground at Samoa (where the dirt bike/OHV area is) was packed last night. Big Lagoon camping is also bumping. I ran into someone from Roseville last night in Trinidad. I’m not a fan of tourists, but as long as people are full blown moving here anyways, I guess we can let them visit:) I have an interview today with someone from Sacramento. As much as I like to keep this place separate from the more uptight aspects of places like Sacramento, I have to admit, Sacramento people cross their t’s & dot their I’s & usually make good employees. Local people are a bit more lackadaisical:) When you come to Humboldt you can get a nice 65 -70 degree sunny day or you can get a foggy San Francisco type day- you never know:) Come to Humboldt, camp (I suggest Big Lagoon-although it can get cold) or stay in a hotel ( I suggest Holiday Inn Express-Mckinleyville/Arcata Airport area-that’s where my dad stays), let me know what you think. I understand that places like Sacramento have had a large influx of Bay Area people, it’s kind of Bay Area Lite now, so people might need a break from the heat and traffic. As the Humboldt ambassador , I welcome you. Some of my friends have already been here, welcome back. Some are brand new. I will share my roads at least until October:)

I had a super long day at work & it used up all of my brain power. I haven’t gotten any of my chores done tonight. I’ve just been lying on my bed looking at dog memes & watching Bob’s Burgers. I had avocado & shredded lettuce on a toasted hamburger bun for dinner😸 #TryAgainTmw :)

Sometimes, I’m so focused on the fake behavior of others & how disingenuous they are that I totally miss when people are genuine. I’m usually focused on bringing fake people down off of their high horse, but sometimes people say or do things that really show their lack of pretense and that impresses me. I’m at that age when a lot of people are coming to terms with things that are related to their parents or relatives. No matter what kind of parent they had, many people will change the narrative & bad parents all of a sudden become saints after death. On the other side of that, you have people who completely bash their parents & don’t think about the circumstances their parents were given to work with. Finding someone who speaks truthfully but fairly about their parents is rare. Oddly enough, the person that surprised me is probably one of the few people on the planet that both of my parents like. My parents refuse to be in the same room & don’t agree on anything. However, I know I’ve heard each of my parents at some point say “He’s a good kid” People who are straight forward are very cool. He gave a fair assessment of his parent & didn’t over praise or condemn too much in either direction. I guess I somehow missed that post when it happened. I know that the world doesn’t give any awards for being straight forward & honest, but I think it’s wonderful & rare.❤️

Just starting out my day by cracking myself up. My dad’s birthday & Father’s day are really close to each other. One of his birthday gifts was a murder series to read & one of his Father’s day gifts was a bird feeder with a camera & AI detection. 😸 #WordsAreFun

Trying to get all of my appts/shopping etc & all of the animals appts crammed into one day off a week was kind of hard. I’m stoked that I’ll have more time now. ✨👙🌊😊 💤 #Cauldron

The lesson that I have learned about looking for acreage is that the cheaper it is, the worse the road will be. There is a goat with an injured leg on the property of a family in town that has a horrible track record of animal abuse. If I had acreage, I could just go get that injured goat. The process is slow & I don’t know anything about roads. However, to stay in a budget, it looks like we will all be wearing helmets😸🪖🐐 #GoatHelmet

I’m working from home today. I like working from home, but I really love that work Sarah & home Sarah are two completely different people. I like a little bit of distance between the two. I love that I can rock two completely different worlds. It’s a lot like being Super Girl. My daytime alter-ego is super well behaved:) 👩🏻‍💼🦹🏻‍♀️
