There's an apologetic look on Kasumi's face as her eyes gazed upon the taller woman. She knew exactly what she was talking about and she had most definitely intruded upon her at the worst of times. “I apologize. I know I probably shouldn't have bothered you right now, but I really need to talk to someone.” She sighs as she takes a seat in her future teacher's couch. “I know I'm not even in your class yet, but you seemed to be the most trust worthy teacher in our entire school.”

She sighs once more, mentally preparing for the words she's about to speak. It's heavy. Not something normal children should ever have to speak of. Brown hues refocused on anything other than Kawakami. “I think I witnessed the beginning lines of something terrible. Are you... close with Mister Kamoshida?”

The privacy of a dead restaurant felt extremely welcoming. The setting sun provided the perfect atmosphere for the meeting that was taking place. Kasumi had invited Ren over to talk about things so, they could know each other better. They had traded random quips here and there. From all of that, she found him quite interesting. Now that they were fully alone, they were free to be themselves. Chatting with him was a breeze and she certainly found him entertaining, but then he spilled words from his mouth that made her struggle. Her face reddened at his flattering thoughts. “I, uh. Past classmates have told me they had found me attractive, but... I never had eyes for that kind of thing.” Brown eyes shifted away, searching for a topic changer that would bring harmony back to her mind.

She found none, but he seemed to have sensed her shyness and done the favor for her. It wasn't that she didn't find him alluring. The opposite was true. It was just her hopes to do things properly, in the moment. “I just wanted to know you better. I wouldn't want to trust a stranger in the battle field. I'm sure it brings you some discomfort to trust me in fights at times.” Kasumi was clear, direct. She wasn't one to stray from the more difficult tasks or discussions of life. Carved by a life full of disadvantages, the girl knew to call spades, spades. She inched closer to his face, taking life by the horns. “It's fine to tell the truth. It won't hurt my feelings. Also... I'm sure plenty have told you, you're not a bad looker. Despite your past, you are a pretty handsome delinquent.” She teased.

“Anyone ever tell you you’re cute?” Ren asked with a flirtatious grin on his face. It was just him and Kasumi together, so he immediately went to what he knew best: flirting. Whether or not it was going to mean anything, well, that was up to the redhead. But he did think she was cute. “Or am I the first one to say it?” He joked.

“But seriously, why’d you wanna hang out today?” It had come completely out of nowhere when she had messaged him, but he decided to go along with it. After all, getting to know your teammates was never a bad thing. “Not that I’m complaining, just kinda surprised, y’know?” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders as he kept his hands in his pockets. He radiated with an aura of calm around him, like nothing could really faze him in this moment.
