The purpose of me in the splatoon fandom

so im always those people that end up being the highest level in the server no matter what weapon i choose, im still figuring it out why i get this a lot, but i feel like its from previous matches of what weapons i use and what i did

I want to put communication guides so people can understand better what “Booyah!” “This Way!” “Help!” or “Ouch...” means after certain actions.

I will put a guide on how to do this with any weapon you main because more respect is needed for opponents. There’s not much communication to do than “Booyah!”, “Ouch...”, “This Way!”, or “Help!”, so let’s try to have our kids fix their body language and understand each other better. Less Chat, More Splat!

That can be my goal for the community.

I don’t like to splat, but i love seeing how good you guys go <3 please don’t squidbag, Octoling boy can get mad, dont worry I dont squidbag back unless its a cephaloparty :3 i dont want to bite until the last minute! Unless one of you are lvl 10 and up i’ll certainly give you a challenge :D if you win and I change my weapon, that just means I want to change to another weapon for another round, not to target you!

I have more to say but this is all you can have for now! I want to release as many thoughts as possible so you don’t see me as a bad kid!

Communication Guide: Spawn Pad

When in spawn pad situations, it’s either you or your teammate are away from the console or trying to escape the other team from splatting your dome.

You stay on your spawn pad and do all sorts of actions that can get your teammate or the other team’s attention.

Because cephalopods are kids, I can use easy dialogue on other communication guide posts.

Staying on spawn pad - the player is away from console (AFC for short)

All situations are staying on SPAWN PAD. Picture your avatar to these following scenarios.

BOOYAH! | TURF WAR | STARTING

The turf war has begun! But wait, why are you still on your spawn pad? How can you tell others you have to finish something first before splatting? What are your reasons why you’re stuck on the spawn pad?

“Booyah!” , Once , per minute - Cheering you on! , “Don’t mind me, go and save the ground!” , “Um, go already?”

“Booyah!” , More than once, per 30 seconds - “What are you doing? Go turf already!” , “What, your wifi sucks too?” , “...”

“Booyah!”, More than once, spamming angrily - “GO TURF ALREADY GEEZ” , “STOP SPLATTING ME” , “CAN YOU NOT”

“Booyah!” , once, per 5 seconds , One Minute Left! - nah you sound like a spamming alarm clock for your phone / timer

THIS WAY! | TURF WAR | STARTING

You want to splat so bad, you really do! But, there might be something you have to finish and it frustrates you! You want to be the hero of your team or you think you need to finish what’s important first! Do you think you’re using the right weapon?

“This Way!”, stays there - “I am your military leader, now splat while I do something else for a while”

“This Way!”, “Booyah!”, stays there - meant to say “Booyah!” first, “Okay guys, we need to win! Let’s have fun, people!”

“This Way!” , more than once (annoying...) - “TURF ALREADY WHAT THE HECK ILL BE FINE” , “bruh moment”

“This Way!” , splats on you - “Why are you standing there, go do the job already!”

“This Way!” , splats spawn pad - “Wait, did i use the right weapon-“ , “does this weapon suit me” , “did i choose the wrong weapon” , “[edgy joke]”

“This Way!” , splats spawn pad, jumps, repeat - “I GOT THE WRONG WEAPON NOOOOO”

“This Way!”, jumping , no splat - Cheering you on!

jumping, “This Way!” , splatting - “Over there, guys, over there!”

Staying on spawn pad, jumping - “Yeah, i’m here, I have to do something first”

Staying on spawn pad, jump, disconnect - “sorry guys i cant help, i have to go, *poof*”

Staying on spawn pad, dualie dodging - “you got a problem with me, punk?!”

Staying on spawn pad, brella trailing - “Go. Over. There... It’s. Not. That. Hard.” , trying to push you away

Staying on spawn pad, Sting Ray, on you - “You’re bothering me and you’re a loser”

Staying on spawn pad, tries to Tenta Missiles on you - “GRRRRRRRR... right, i cant splat you, AW NUGGETS”

WHEN TURF WAR ENDS, teammates stuck losing / about to lose

The battle is almost over, but you just got splatted from the other team and end up stuck on the spawn pad because they’ve reached your base! You want to share closing thoughts for the rest of the battle, either you say GG or a big Splat You.

Staying on spawn pad, other team splatting your dome, walks around - guess ill splat

“Booyah!” - “EY GUYS LOOK WE’RE LOSING GOOD JOB GOOD JOB GOOD JOB MMHMM YES 8’)” , “Good job other team! You did it so easily!”

There are many ways what Booyah can mean from teammates drowning off the map, throws a bomb at you, or staying on spawn pad and not doing anything. Here’s what I think players mean when they say “Booyah!” in certain battles.

TURF WAR

Teammates drowning off the map to escape - Whew, that was close!

Teammates drowning off the map in squid parties - BOOYAH! *GAME!* (THE BEST FEELING)

Teammates drowning off the map in New Albacore Hotel and not helping you - Swimming is fun, weeeee! [haha put edgy joke here]

Teammate looks down, then drowns off the map - guilt, shame, doubt, “im sorry i didnt mean it ;-;”

Teammates looks up, drowns off the map — im gonna pretend i didnt do that

Drowning off the map to escape — SCREAMING , im done im done im done my bars are gonna CRACK

Drowning off the map in squid parties — wait, thats illegal

Drowning off the map in New Albacore Hotel — washing clams so the other team doesnt get it, washing the football if theres no way to throw it into the basket, giving up on tower control, rainmaker, and splat zones

Looks down, then drowns off the map - their mom called for dinner and now he has to demote his rank to C+ :(

Looks up, then drowns off the map - *sees a bomb/missile/explosher* OH NO OK BACK TO SPAWN HAHA BYE

I know this is odd. But, I was wondering if you have any tips on how to color/draw in the style of splatoon? Your stuff looks super amazing and official!

I was originally recording a short speed paint to show how I draw it but I don’t think it explained anything really well. Hope this version works for you :D
