"We do." Olivia agreed, with a tiny chuckle. "And then we all get judged for them, mainly by those who could never understand the reasons behind said choices."

Which was all a shame, because Olivia thought herself a very reasonable person. Her goals, in the end, were for the good of mankind, and so opposing her was certainly foolish.

A shame that she kept encountering people determined to stand in her way, she thought.

"Still, isn't choices what many of the classics are about? You would know that more than I, yet what are tragedies, what are epics, if not a long string of choices, eternally judged?"

So, after some consideration, behold my first non-villain (well, mostly) blog for this fandom :3

Introducing a new Harry Osborn blog, primarily inspired by the most recent games saga and with influences from other incarnations of the character, as written by Sparrow.

Canon-divergent, private, selective and independent (but very much crossover and OC friendly), established April 9th.

Could she blame them? Did it matter?

"People, in general, are shortsighted creatures." Olivia sighed. "Far too focused on the specifics, far too unaware of the greater picture."

And now, with their goodwill gone, Olivia was resorting to repeating tactics that had worked already, if to a degree. She would not fail this time.

So had she told herself, before.

"You need not trust me." She shrugged, in the end. "So long as you know this is not personal. It never has been." She added, after a moment.

She could not apologize for her part in Peter's death: it would change nothing, and she had not known, at the time. She didn't even know if it would have changed anything, if she had.

+ " Can you BLAME any of them ? After the STUNT of holding me HOSTAGE , I don't think I TRUST you either . " Her own POSITIONING wasn't fantastic . It seemed like , as much as she prided herself on being somewhat PREAPRED in the event of being used once again as BAIT , Mary Jane constantly found herself nowhere NEAR anything useful as a weapon in SELF-DEFENSE . At this rate, she was going to start seriously considering wearing the WEB-SHOOTERS Peter had gifted her so long ago .

"Oh, it will get us inside." Olivia assured her. "We're only saving the element of surprise for when we truly need it."

She was not unaware of Allison's preferences in regards to waiting, and yet...

"If we are discovered or the plan fails, however..." She hummed.

Olivia did want to see what Allison could do, all in all, when letting loose. It would be useful information to have.

"And even if we are not, once we have the parts we need, you are free to take whatever you can carry." She added, making the offer while they yet waited. Soon, they'd have their chance to enter the warehouse.

Stowed away in the back of the VEHICLE, less her not so subtle COSTUME give away that they were here for more than a VIEWING , she looked down to see tiny BOLTS of electricity jumping between her fingers.

Her gaze narrowed once more, not so much at the tone in the other's voice or the similarities (so many similarities, and wasn't it exciting?) but at the mention of an attempt on her life. Now Olivia tensed, shedding a layer of the many that covered the ruthlessness of Doc Ock, considering her options.

Her odds didn't look too well, all things considered.

"Cybernetics. Like that arm of yours?" She asked, as she ordered her own augmentations to start gathering more data from their surroundings. So far, it seemed they were alone, but that could change at any time.

"Truly, Miss..." She halted, unwilling to risk on a name. "This situation is more than curious. Would you be so kind so as to tell me why you made an attempt on my life?" She added.

For now, however, her priority was avoiding a confrontation. And well... it could be a good field trial of the situation, wouldn't it?

"There is no HYDRA where I come from. Not on the field of cybernetics, at the very least." She added. "Not to my knowledge."

Jane sighed, fed up with what she saw as a flimsy ruse, a laughable attempt at playing the amnesiac. "You're Olivia Octavius," she said, in a mockingly sing-song voice. "Lead scientist at Alchemax. But before you were the lead scientist at Alchemax, you worked for HYDRA, as you damn well know. You worked on the Winter Soldier Project. Cybernetics. And six months ago I tried to kill you, remember? But you ran away."

She flexed her fists and added, "I wasn't intending to stumble across you today, but I'm ready for a rematch. Are you?"

22. Are there any red roleplay flags for you that make you back off immediately?

Not really? I tend to judge blogs and people on a case by case basis, and the things that will make me not follow a blog will mostly be a matter of personal preference?

For example, if someone requires icons to RP. I don't like making graphics or choosing icons, and both sides are equally valid. So, we just won't interact.

Or, to give another case, a few years ago I encountered a blog with a writing style that was very philosophical and contrived. So much so that I simply couldn't follow what was happening. And so, I didn't follow them.

Chances are that nowadays, if I went back, it would all make much more sense, because my English has improved a lot over the years, but still I might not follow them. We simply had very different style preferences, and I think that's alright.

In the end we're all here to have fun and enjoy a hobby.

1. What is your favorite trope to rp?

Found family. I live and yearn for found family shenanigans.

That I tend to write villains complicates things a lot, let's be honest, but this has never been about practicality. And honestly? It's not a trope that is feasible to RP with all characters, and that's alright.

Still doesn't change that Found Family is my favorite trope, followed by Evil Mentor shenanigans.

17. What makes you insecure about your own writing?

Writing dialogue. I'm still yet working on defining speech patterns, particularly in English, and sometimes there's a lot of nuance that escapes me.

So yeah, I'm still working on that. And let's be honest, if I trusted myself to manage his dialogue, I'd be writing Aaron Davis as well xD

6. Name 3 things you love most about your muse/muses.

Being very brief, she's a competent woman with agency and her own goals, and that's so rare in mainstream media. And i love it.

First: She's a woman in a science career, and she's seen as competent. She's the undisputed scientific genius around the film's machine of doom, and she's allowed to be.

Second: She's not in any way sexyfied nor objectified. She's in her fifities, she's a villain, and yet at no point her design or the shots try to objectify her, nor steer her towards any romance. She's in no way motivated by those concepts.

And third: She's allowed to be a villain. She has agency, she has her own goals, she moved the plot, and she wasn't a victim. And she's utilitarian, and cruel. And she's allowed to be: she doesn't need to be saved, she needs to be stopped.

How could I not adore her, as a character? It's still so rare to see characters like her, in her position.

It was hard to forget a face she'd never encountered, and Olivia was reasonably certain she hadn't met this one before. She'd remember any scientist under her employ, or the competition, or some of Kingpin's people. But this woman before her, she could not place.

It didn't help that the harness on her back was still giving glitchy readings, she thought, as she matched the wary gaze facing her way. And how could she not, at the mention of Alchemax? Different world that it might be, she still bristled.

It took all her effort to leash her mind, before it wandered away: if there was an Alchemax here, and a version of her... What was different, what wasn't? There was so much to consider, to learn. Still, she had to focus.

"I'm afraid I don't remember you." She admitted, softly, peering at Jane through her somewhat chipped glasses. "Are you certain we've met?"

A long shot, but she'd met her fair share of dangerous and capable people. And the woman before her moved like far too many of them. So, if she could convince her she was not looking at the right person without revealing the truth, well. It was worth trying.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten me already," Jane said, watching Olivia Octavius with wary eyes. "It's not even been six months since I last saw you. And you've certainly dropped down in the world. Alchemax not doing so well these days, I gather?"

Octavius looked injured, something that Jane found quite curious -- and also viewed as a potential boon. Maybe fighting an injured enemy wasn't chivalrous, but Jane had never been one for chivalry. The point wasn't to 'fight fair'. The point was to be the last one standing. The point was survival.

She frowns, head tilted just slightly. It's not a worldview she hasn't encountered in the past, but nevertheless one she's never truly understood.

"Power for the sake of power sounds awfully reductive, in a world we don't yet fully understand."
