the best way to explain the absolute batshit insanity of naruto and sasuke is sasuke saying "i know you heart and you, mine" to naruto to explain why he needs to kill him

there's so many fucking insane moments including:

sasuke's dead brother, who he sort of killed but honestly was dying anyways, coming back from the dead and telling naruto he's the only one who can save sasuke

naruto letting kyuubi, a fucking demon, take over because someone evil called sasuke "theirs"

naruto saying "i don't care who i have to fight! if he rips my arms out, i'll kick him to death! if he rips my legs off, i'll bite him to death! if he rips my head off, I'll stare him to death! and if he gouges out my eyes, I'll curse him from the grave! even if i'm torn to shreds, I'm taking sasuke back from orochimaru!

naruto and sasuke blowing off each other's arms and that mends their friendship

naruto having a panic attack because his village wants sasuke dead

sasuke literally living to kill his brother just to sacrifice his life for naruto and not having the words to explain why he did it

naruto and sasuke admitting to have watched hte other from afar their entire childhoods without knowing how to reach out

naruto holding onto sasuke's headband for 3+ years waiting for him to come home

this moment from valley of the end where sasuke is thinking about killing naruto and freeing himself from the pain of bonds but being unable to, preferring being weak to being alone
