GRE EXAM
Background: It is the Only admissions test that is accepted by both graduate and business programs worldwide — including most top-ranked M.B.A. programs. (All MBA programs use the GRE at major schools and UT uses it for Law school as well but not CU or miami. They use LSAT scores) The computer-delivered GRE® General Test takes about 3 hours and 45 minutes and consists of three separately timed sections: Verbal Reasoning — There are two 30-minute sections, each containing 20 questions. Quantitative Reasoning — There are two 35-minute sections, each containing 20 questions. Analytical Writing — There is one section with two separately timed tasks: one "Analyze an Issue" task and one "Analyze an Argument" task. You may also be required to complete an unidentified, unscored and/or research section of the test. The unidentified, unscored section can appear at any point after the Analytical Writing section. The research section is always at the end of the test. The time given to complete these sections varies. You will not receive a score for them. Creating an Account Before you can register for a GRE® General Test, you need to create an ETS Account. You can create an account at any time, regardless of whether or not you plan to register for a GRE test. However, the name you use when you create your account will also be the name you use when you register for your GRE test, so it's important to make sure that your first and last name exactly matches (excluding accents) the name printed on the identification (ID) documents that you will present on the day of your test. TESTING LOCATION Prometric Testing Center 1834 North Main St. Suite 9 Longmont, Colorado 80501 United States Of America (303)485-3218 Colorado State University Pitkin Street University Testing Center C-82 Clark Bldg Fort Collins, Colorado 80523 United States Of America http://colostate.edu/depts/counseling (970)491-5060 You can take the computer-delivered GRE General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days). This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously. You may take the paper-delivered GRE General Test as often as it is offered. Scores are valid for 5 years. The registration fee for the GRE General Test is $205.00 TEST PREP MATERIAL LINK: https://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/?WT.ac=grehome_greprepare_b_150213 FAQ: https://www.takethegre.com/gre-revised-general-test-faq PRACTICE TEST LINK: https://www.takethegre.com/preparing-for-gre-exam#power-prep Test Breakdown Verbal Reasoning — There are two 35-minute sections, each containing 25 questions.
