Steps to Become Certified as a PMP
There are two pathways that exist for becoming a Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. The first route is by finishing a high school diploma or associate degree with a minimum of 7,500 hours of experience in leading projects. The other is graduating from an accredited four-year college with a bachelor's degree and finishing 4,500 hours on lead projects. Both will require 35 hours of project management education to fulfil the nine areas of knowledge that are tested. Once eligibility is gained to the individual, applicants must answer 200 multiple-choice questions at a Prometric testing centre. Several online services are providing PMP online training. It is worth checking them out if you have something similar in mind.
