      “bitch, i can’t believe you actually had the fucking audacity to blow me off in the first place. seriously - you mean to tell me doting around in some cocktail dress, which looks amazing by the way. glad you went with those shoes - ” she’s sidetracked, eyes darting over the femme’s pristine attire with an impressed smirk despite her ongoing shtick of annoyance. soon, she returned to the topic at hand, “entertaining some elitist bullshit is better than being neck deep in jungle juice and some attire courtesy of bed, bath, and beyond ?” well some were donning 200 thread-count sheets, claudia on the other hand ? a salazar original, of course, whipped up last minute. “i’m glad you came to your sense though.” she took helena���s hand, wasting no time dodging sweaty bodies to make a way towards the ‘bar’. “fuck you, no - you’re taking a shot first. it’s the least you could do for leaving me in the dust.” teasing words fall from unwavering lips as she offered the girl the small glass. “drink up.”

from rags to riches. claudia salazar grew up the eldest of two in brooklyn new york to a single mother. her father? who knows where he’s at - probably still knocking up other women, being a fucking clown, honestly claudia probably has ten other step-siblings she doesn’t even know abt tbh. 

when i say claudia’s mother hustled she hustled. days were spent working as a secretary, nights were spent with her legs wrapped around a pole at an upscale gentlemen’s club leaving claudia to care for her younger sibling. it was around the age of eight when claudia noticed that her baby sister wasn’t responding to her - at first she thought she was being dismissive; but it was concerning. eventually sonia noticed it too - brought her in for testing and found out that she was hearing impaired. they didn’t have the money to invest in hearing aids, so claudia and sonia took it upon themselves to learn and simultaneously teach her asl with the help of their upstairs neighbor! how nice!

fast forward and sonia falls for a client - or rather he falls for her. it’s a slowburn, very much a pretty woman moment. the businessman and investor treated her to lavish evenings, showered her with opulent gifts, it wasn’t long before claudia and her sister met him. what sealed the deal for claudia? him offering to pay for her sister’s cochlear implants. an act of kindness that came from the heart. he genuinely cared and it was something that touched her - he was the missing piece of the fucked up puzzle. wasn’t long before the salazar girls uprooted their lives in brooklyn - saying goodbye to their shoebox apartment and hello to the estate in westchester. 

they weren’t welcomed with open arms though, armando’s children barely acknowledging his new wife and their new step-siblings. typical privileged brats u know the vibes, very country club, crisp white linen shirts and tennis lessons for funsies. it was funny - the streets clashing with old money. it took some warming up but eventually they accepted them - too bad it was when claudia was ready to leave for college. :/ 

chapter iii.

fashion design student. it’s rare you ever see her in the same thing twice aside from the atrocious uniforms she’s expected to wear. pulls a raven baxter, adding her personal touches here and there, catch her always getting mf dress coded.

never forgot where she came from !!! ya she got shmoney now but she’s not stuck up or classist !!!
