You wanna know what happens once you kill yourself? Your mother comes home from work and finds her baby dead and she screams and runs over to you and tries to get you to wake up but you won’t and she keeps screaming and shaking you and her tears are dripping onto your face and your dad hears all the screaming and runs into the room and he can’t even speak because the child that he loved and the child that he watched grow up is gone forever and finally your little sister runs into the room to see what all the fuss is about and she sees you dead. The person she looked up to and loved. The person she bragged about to  her friends, the person she wanted to be just like when she grew up, the person that made her feel safe. But she’s never really going to get to grow up and smile and laugh and love because she’ll always be consumed with this feeling of missing you. And now there’s something missing from your family and they can barely look at each other anymore because everything reminds them of you but you’re gone and hurts more than anything. and you think that your mom never cared because she was always busy and yelling at you to finish your homework and clean your room and forgot to say I love you sometimes but really, she loved you more than anything and she doesn’t leave the house anymore, she can’t even get out of bed and she’s getting thinner and thinner because it’s too hard to eat. Your father had to quit his job and he doesn’t sleep anymore, every time he closes his eyes he sees his baby dead, and the image never goes away no matter how much alcohol he drinks. And at school your best friend sees that your seat is empty and she gets this sick feeling in her stomach and that’s when she hears the announcement. You killed yourself. And suddenly she’s screaming and crying in the middle of class and no one even bothers comforting because they’re all  busy sitting there staring at your empty seat with tears dripping down their cheeks and all she wants is for you to hug her and tell her it’s gonna be okay like you always did, but this time, you’re not there to do it, everything is dark now that you’re gone and her grades are slipping, she barely goes to school anymore and she ended up in hospital after taking too many pills because she wanted to see you again. the girls who used to make fun of the way you dressed feel their throats get tight, they don’t talk to each other anymore, they don’t talk to anyone, they’re all in therapy trying so hard not to blame themselves but nothing works. and your teacher who always gave you a hard time stares blankly at the wall, she quits her job a few days later. And then your boyfriend hears the news and he can’t breathe, he still calls you a lot just to hear your voice and he talks to you on facebook but you never message him back, he can’t fall in love again because every girl he meets reminds him of you, he’s never going to get over you, he loved you and he cries himself to sleep every night, hating himself and slicing his skin because he couldn’t save you and he’s never going to hold you in his arms or hear you laugh again. Now everyone who knew you, whether they were a big part of your life or someone you passed in the hallway a few times a week, they carry this aching feeling around inside them because you’re gone, and they miss you, and they don’t know why you left but it must’ve been their fault and they should’ve stopped you and they should’ve told you they loved you more and that feeling is never going to go away. And so you killed yourself

but you killed everyone else around you too.

I spend too much time thinking about how in the only thing he’s ever directed, Chris Evans, the guy known for his muscles, and action franchises like Captain America and the Fantastic Four and other very dude-bro characters, and his love of sports and Boston and other kinda cliched masculine things, chose a love story. He chose a movie where he’d play a sweet, sensitive, hopeless romantic, he chose to have Nick play the trumpet instead of the guitar because he decided it was more romantic for a character to commit themselves to an unpopular instrument, he chose a script that included a scene in fluffy bathrobes, he chose to style himself with a soft beard and soft bedhead and in soft wool coats. This was his chance to show himself to the world, and he chose to show us how gentle his soul is. I just think about that a lot you know.

Not to discredit Tony’s or Steve’s Leadership during difficult times but Natasha was an important leader and part of the Avengers too no one can take that away from her.

What is up with Marvel not giving Natasha the recognition she deserves. No funeral. No mentions. Nothing. I’m honestly sick of it.

Looking at the ages of the Avengers it’s always so jarring to see the difference between Steve and everyone else.

Using the release date of The Avengers (April 25, 2012), I’ve made a list of Marvel characters’ ages, youngest to oldest. (Not counting Peter Parker and Vision, who is like -2 years old. Wanda is 2 ages because her birth year was retconned in WandaVision).

Wanda Maximoff: either ±16 or ±22

Steve Rogers: ±26 years

Natasha Romanov: ±29 years

T'Challa: 31 years, 8 months

Sam Wilson: 33 years, 7 months

Stephen Strange: ±35 years

Pepper Potts: 40 years, 0 months

Clint Barton: 41 years, 3 months

Tony Stark: 41 years, 10 months

Bruce Banner: 42 years, 4 months

Scott Lang: ±43 years

James Rhodes: 43 years, 6 months

Phil Coulson: 47 years, 9 months

Nick Fury: 61 years, 9 months

See what I mean about it being “jarring”? All people in the room with Steve in The Avengers are older than him. Some of them even are older by literal decades.

I will never shut up about this because they literally put a 26 year old guy in a room filled with people older and more experienced than him, and then said “you’re their leader now, figure it out”.

And, looking at it from the other side, imagine Tony and Clint coming in and seeing that a guy who’s FIFTEEN YEARS younger than them has to lead them into battle. And when Steve meets Sam, they share an age difference of six whole years.

I know 26 is a full adult, but considering everything Steve has been through in his life it’s so shockingly young, and the way he was just thrust into the 21st century and made responsible for a team he knew nothing about is so sad.

UPDATE:

After reporting one of my fics in the book on Monday, today Wattpad informed me that it was immediately removed from their website (I checked and it isn't there anymore). I reported just one fic cuz I didn't know how it worked. Now I assure you that it works!

PLAGIARISM ALERT!!!!!

So I found out 6 of my fics were translated into Spanish without my permission. This person has translated a lot of one shots taken from tumblr and, since she posted my work without asking, I doubt she asked any of you writers' consent.

The account hasn't been updated since 2019 I think, but everything is still there so I'll be reporting it after posting this. Here are the screenshots of the wattpad book's summary so you can check if there's any of your work posted (I recognised some of the titles).

Also, even though some of those people credit our original work, I've seen readers' comments like "you are genius" or "I love your stories" so they are still being praised by something they didn't do! Meanwhile, writers on tumblr struggle to get comments, likes and reblogs on their stories. This is so frustrating and unfair!

People are so used to think that what they do in the internet, especially on places like tumblr and wattpad, won't have consequences, but stealing intelectual property (even if it's a "mere" fanfic) is very serious!

If you have ever been plagiarised and feel confortable with reporting it (in case talking to the responsible for it didn't work), DO IT!

About Wattpad Plagiarism and DMCA

It's of common knowledge how recently there has been an influx of plagiarism of our dear Tumblr writers into the Wattpad patform. Hence why I took the time to put this together.

TO ALL THOSE BLATANTLY STEALING OTHERS STORIES (CREDITED OR NOT!) AND REPOSTING THEM ON WATTPAD:

🚨STOP IT! Please, be a decent human being for Pete's sake!🚨

-When we say DO NOT REPOST elsewhere, that is exactly what it means! Do not copy and paste others' stories into other platforms without their explicit written consent where they clearly state that they agree with you doing that.

Which honestly? I highly doubt that it can happen because if we haven't chosen to do it ourselves it's because we don't have an active interest on it and we shouldn't be pressed to do so either.

-When we say DO NOT TRANSLATE AND REPOST OUR WORKS elsewhere, that's exactly what it means!

Many of us are bilingual, or multiligual even, so if we haven't already translated our own stories it's because we are not interested in doing so at the time being, nor should we be pressured to do it either. You need to respect that! These stories are NOT yours to take apart as you see fit.

-When we say that you're subjected to legal liabilities if you plagiarize our works, that's exactly what it means!

Every written piece (fanfic or not) is protected by copyright infringement and Wattpad platform is subjected to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). This was signed into law by President Clinton on October 28, 1998. And the Title II includes the “Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act,” which creates limitations on the liability of online service providers for copyright infringement when engaging in certain types of activities.

What does this mean to you as the plagiarizer? That Wattpad does not want to subject themselves to lawsuits over copyright infringed works being hosted on their site, and authors have the absolute right to file a formal DMCA Take-Down complaint against you through the platform requesting you to take down the stolen contents from your profile. If you fail to comply with this in first instance, you'll be subjected to the permanent termination of your Wattpad account.

And in case that you're wondering, the DMCA-Take-Down Notice is a legal document that you're obliged to comply with! It's not optional! Once you receive the Take-Down notice you must abide by the terms there. Because even Fanfiction writers' works are protected by the Copyright Infringement Law. That's right!

"Fans own copyright in their own original contributions to a fanwork — they don’t own anything about the underlying work it’s based on, but they do own what they have made," Rosenblatt says. "The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) allows copyright owners, including fan-authors, to request that something be taken down if it infringes copyright."

Of course, that this is not 5 seconds and be over with, it takes a lot of physical and emotional energy to do so. Especially in the aftermath of knowing that your hard work has been stolen by someone that had no qualms in stamping their name on it and blatantly take the credit for it. But it can be done, it's established in the small letters that you agreed upon when you signed up for a new Wattpad account and you once again agreed to it when you selected this option right here before posting:

So, by your unatuthorized posting not only you're damaging and hurting the authors of those works but you're also LEGALLY lying (Only God even knows if you might be a minor too!). Sadly, there isn't a better/easier/faster reporting system set in place to facilitate the removal of these accounts solely dedicated to post stolen content. So, we can only hope for you to listen as we respectfully ask you:
