I don’t know if I ever really planned it. When I have time off, I travel and I shoot for my YouTube content. When I’m in L.A. and there are auditions and projects that are exciting to me, then I’ve gotta go out and I try for them, but that’s just part of being an actor. You never know how long it will be between projects, or when the next project is gonna be. I’m fortunate that it was this show to be the next one after PLL.

“Which makes them even more deserving of it,” he chuckled, looking at the other with an amused expression. “Well, to be fair, he did sign up for it when he took this bet, so I don’t feel entirely bad”
Lips pursed to stifle her own laugh, neither one to find humor in the face of someone elses misluck, yet still.. some things couldn’t be helped. “You’re really gonna’ set yourself up for a handful more enemies doing that to people and their money, but I guess...-- what’s one more to a mikaleson, right?”

Ainsley isn’t short by any means. In fact she’s almost against the grain being as tall as most men in the bar but just because she’s a woman doesn’t mean she doesn’t have strength. She just liked to use her voice rather than her fists. Thankfully it didn’t come to that. No, someone was pushing him away and she’s flooded with relief almost too immediately. “It was that or my gun but that’s frowned upon no matter what city I’m stuck in.” Whether self imposed or not. Ainsley gave a chuckle. “Thank you for that. I’m Anne. Can I buy you a drink?”
It was a little forward, but Caitlyn was still getting used to being around people far more upfront than she was. Previously, she might have avoided mostly everything about such situation, however, things had changed, dramatically. “You’re probably right, it’s a good thing the threat was seemingly enough in that case. You shouldn’t have to thank anyone, really, we should be thanking you. Caitlyn.” She didn’t want to say yes -- drinking hadn’t been her thing for years now, yet the drink in her hand, almost finished didn’t quite make it look that way. “Actually, I think this ones on me.”

“Mate,” he said as he patted the back of the passed out person next to him, “never bet me on a drinking. Good try though, really” he grinned, downing his drink as he looked beside him. “C’mon, it’s kind of funny”
“You know they’re only putting in a bet because you hardly look old enough to drink at all, right?” Both a blessing and a curse perhaps, of their kind. “That guy is going to feel like he was hit by a truck later and that is not funny at all.”

“You’re a difficult person to find when you don’t want to be found.” As much she’d assume by the stone like silence on his end since they last spoke --- even now, she wasn’t sure he’d want to talk to her in any capacity. Cait only knew that he was worth at least trying.

“Are you gonna let me in, or am I gonna have to eat this whole delicious pizza by myself? Which, by the way I totally could do, I just am not sure it’s that good of an idea.” Daisy remarked stepping back from the door as it opened, large pizza box in hand as she awaited a response.
Head canted to the side as a blooming smile graced the vampires features. “You know, I kinda feel like I wanna see you eat that whole thing on your own, but since I’m a better friend than that --- and you’re a better friend than that for bringing pizza, I guess you can come in.”

There’s something she likes about bars. The lights are low, the music is almost okay but the alcohol… that’s what makes it all better. Not tonight though, no, because there’s a man beside her talking about her tattoos and how women shouldn’t have any. He tried to flirt but when she shot him down, this is how it ended up. “On behalf of the entire bar, why don’t you eat a Cheez-It and shut the fuck up already?” she snapped at him finally.
Strictly speaking, Caitlyn didn’t usually --- ever like to use her hidden strength against anyone, it went completely against the grain of the person she was, however, she’d listened for what felt like hours to the same guy bother mostly any girl he came across. The soft hand that fell against his shoulder tightened and pushed him somewhat gently towards the thick of the crowed, hoping he’d be swallowed whole by it and find someone new to bother. “Honestly, I thought nobody was ever going to tell him how it was, you’re the fifth woman he’s tried it one with in the last two hours.”

“Then out of the two of us, you’re alone in that one.” She points to the other and laughs softly. “Though I’m alone in the actual avoiding, so there’s no winning in that kind of situation when you really think about it.” Tammy explains as her eyes glance towards her book once more. “I was before I heard someone coming closer, I don’t think it’s boring per se, I’m just not much of a dancer..or good at socialization right now.”
“I don’t mind avoiding everything with you for a little while, if you’re okay with a little company.” Truthfully, something about staying here, away from most of the crowd seemed a little less daunting than anything beyond it. Even now, the idea of so many people made her more than nervous, Caitlyn never entirely sure whether she’d prepared herself enough. “I really didn’t mean to interrupt. If it makes you feel any better, I kind of suck at both too.”

“ I wasn’t looking forward to this but, ” Melinda muffled the laugh behind her hand. “ If I get to spend the night watching these people completely fail at dancing, maybe it’s not so bad. It’s like she’s hearing a completely different song than what’s playing. ” She smirked, watching as the blonde woman danced wildly, almost striking bystanders.
It wasn’t particularly amusing to Caitlyn, at least not in the sense that some people seemed to draw from the blonde enjoying her night in such an extreme way. “Maybe someone should take that last drink off of her.” She mused, lips pursed and concern flooding her features.

hecate stepped through the entryway, lowering her cloak and handing it off to the person in the coat check, before she stepped into the ballroom, eyes scanning the place to look for anyone she knew. Not finding anyone, she moved toward the bar, taking a seat and ordering a drink, “has anything interesting happened yet?” she asked aloud, her fingers drumming against the wood of the bar.
She’d lingered most of the night by the bar, not alike those around her who simply stayed there to keep the flow of drinks going, rather, it just seemed easier to watch everything from here. Most of the room a bewilderment to Caitlyn, never having found herself at anything so extravagant in her life, she’d still yet to even order a single drink. “Depends on what your take on interesting is. I think it’s going amazingly. People really needed this, I think.”

“You know, I might have missed every prom or homecoming we ever had,” Caitlyn wasn’t even sure whether he’d stick around for any semblance of conversation with her; silence left things... strained, it always had. It wasn’t as though she’d expected much else, honestly... he’d already given her more of his time than she’d ever believed he needed to but part of her would always hope for even a minute longer. “but i think it kind of made up for it, you know.. besides the whole, amnesia thing.”

there was a understandable hesitancy within the girl to have come to this ball, especially with the track record of everything that had happened during her life at dances. ( god, could she just have one night without some chaos ? ) but elena couldn’t stand back letting fear and her past experiences rule her, not after rising from the dead, and becoming human again. she was going to have a good night, if her life depended upon it —– it probably did. all she wanted was to let her hair down for once, and dance with her man, making up for lost time. grabbing a glass of champagne, she takes a sip before turning to the individual beside her. “ so …. it looks like this parties a HUGE HIT, i feel like i stick out like a sore thumb —- i’m completely out of practice ! ”
“You’re completely over thinking things, Elena.” Caitlyn noted, knowing full well that she certainly wasn’t the only one that felt out of place within the crowd of ball attendees, She’d never even made it to her own prom, let alone some upscale fancy masquerade ball; she supposed it was one thing to be thankful for the mask she wore even if it was just to hide some semblance of her own hesitancy in being here. “Everything is completely fine, right? Why would everyone just.. turn up to this thing if it wasn’t going to be?” Or at least, she could hope as much.

“Really? There’s no betweens? I’m sure you can have a midnight flute of champagne and remember all the glam and glory.”
“I’ve really only ever done either end of the extremist scale,” mostly due to what had happened throughout her life, before being a vampire, she’d never been able to drink much because of the medication she took; after..— well, extreme behavior ensued. “Still new to the, inbetween type of thing.”

“Let me guess. Here to ask where the drinks are?”
“Not really, I’ve never been all that much of a drinker in the first place, kind of liked the idea of remembering nights like this.”

Magic school was not a place that Tammy was unfamiliar with, she had grown up there even with her powers bound as a child, so as everyone was making their way to the school, she went over to the library to grab a book before returning and sitting herself down in a random chair, her mask still covering her eyes. Once she hears nearby footsteps, she looks up and offers a warm smile. “Are you enjoying the dance or have you come over here to avoid people as much as you can too?” She questions with a snort.
“Oh no..--- No I’m not trying to avoid anything,” more to the point trying to find someone in the crowd, a seemingly better probability if she wasn’t standing right in the middle of everything. The book in the other woman’s hand caught her eye and she lent across slightly to catch the title --- not something she’d heard of before, “You’re reading now?” She smiled softly, “I knew some people thought this was boring but.. that’s something else entirely.”

He’d grown up with events like this, made to dress in a monkey suit and act half decent…if anything he was just glad he had no need to here; this was the one time you’d hear him being thankful he wasn’t in Mystic Falls (at least it made him think of his brother, in a good way; it just made him MISS the hell outta his older sibling). “Nah, I ain’t even drunk enough to deal with this crap right now.” By this crap, he was definitely referring to polite conversation which would surely go out of the window the second he drank just a little too much. “Betting i’m not in this boat alone…or do you actually love this shit?” Some people did…likely a matter of opinion and how often they’d been dragged to a ball.
“This.. shit?” Truthfully, Caitlyn didn’t mind the idea of the ball, then again..--- she’d never really had the chance to attend anything so extravagant in her life either. Before.. well, before, she’d always been a little too sick, never felt entirely comfortable or simply, didn’t feel the need to go to anything her school had held, all of which she supposed had something to do with being on the brink of her own life expectancy. “I don’t mind it.. I’m not really sure how anyone could really hate it though. Bad experiences?”
