After 6 years working at CG Cookie and 5 years doing livestreams, today will be the last one! I have loved these streams and they gave me a platform. I can't even pretend to be as thankful as possible for Cookie and for letting me build a community while I draw and talk.

I never thought I would enjoy letting other people watch me work, let alone have to talk through it or even explain what I'm working on as a tutorial.

So come today as any other stream would roll out with some traditional rendering for Drawtober and a good reflection on why streaming has helped me over the years!

The KAY-9 Concept Contest  is NOW OPEN!

SUBJECT: The KAY-9 Gang

Last spring we launched the #Battered Bunnies Contest and ever since there has been a request for a contest representing the rival gang. The time has officially come! What better way to bring in the new site then with the biggest concept contest yet with double the prizes and even more distinguished art judges!

The KAY-9 gang lives in the same world as before but with a few key differences to their attire and weapon of choice. While the Bunnies were gritty and scrappy in appearance, the KAY-9's have a classier touch of refinement to them. They bear suits paired with a canine mask of their choice. And for their weapon, they prefer something that can draw a bit of blood.

The challenge is to create a member of the KAY-9's as if you were a concept artist given this task with free reign on using your creativity to its fullest....and then some. We are looking for either a finished concept art piece or a full illustration showing off the character (we encourage the illustration but rendered concept pieces have won in the past). The character can be male or female but must have a few elements which you can find in the "Rules" tab!

We have 10 insanely talented artists I have enlisted as guest judges to give insight when choosing their top choices for the golden award! So be sure to give it your best shot to showcase your skill and talent!
